At the former location of THE春 near Nanjing Fuxing Station, a new Japanese sashimi and donburi restaurant Shun Dining Place has just reopened. Using seasonal ingredients, it presents authentic flavors at the original THE春 site, which many food lovers used to frequent. It's truly worth challenging, with the same exterior but different chefs—a brand-new Japanese restaurant that challenges the taste buds.

Shun New Opening Trial Operation Promotion

When Dong visited Shun Japanese Dining Place, it happened to be during the trial period. In addition to 12% off all items, the remainder after the discount is waived.

Quite a sincere discount promotion!

Shun Dining Place Menu Prices

The current menu is the trial operation items, and it is not yet certain if this will be the fixed menu.

If ingredients are changed according to the season, there should be different dishes to choose from each season!

With the 12% off trial promotion, the prices are really sincere—the ingredients indeed deliver fresh and sweet flavors.

Shun Dining Place Dining Environment

Shun's seating area is almost identical to the former THE春 Nanjing Fuxing store.

It seems only the glass has been changed.

What's special is that the ordering method has been changed to QR code ordering.

As an introvert, Dong feels quite happy seeing this ordering method.

After seating, the restaurant serves tea first.

This time, taking advantage of the 12% off, Dong ordered a signature donburi and hand roll.

Complimentary Appetizer

Previously at THE春, miso soup was served with orders, which felt very comforting and warm in winter, but in summer this appetizer feels just right.

It's appetizing and refreshing—the crisp texture leaves you wanting more.

Seared Scallop Hand Roll 120 NTD

The sashimi-grade scallops are large, and a simple sear gives them a subtle aroma.

The tender and plump texture with substantial thickness is truly delicious, and after chewing, the sweet scallop seafood flavor comes through—very good.

Seafood First Donburi 220 NTD

A bit of each fish type—quite a good deal!

There's also a large piece of shiso leaf on the side~

This looks more like lionfish.

The texture and fat are richer—a full-bodied feel.

The sweet taste of sea bream is direct—a sweet and refreshing sashimi.

Tuna is many people's favorite.

That fresh and flavorful fish taste pairs perfectly with soy sauce and wasabi.

Finally, the fattiest salmon adds the finishing touch.

The sashimi donburi ends perfectly.

Interspersed with vinegared rice, it gives a very satisfying feeling.

Overall, Shun Dining Place tastes quite good—you can taste the natural deliciousness and freshness of the ingredients! If you enjoy savoring ingredients, you'll love it, but if you're looking for a hearty meal, you might not be satisfied! After all, Shun Dining Place focuses on quality—each piece of sashimi and scallop clearly shows its quality. Savoring them carefully is very satisfying, and even the wasabi and soy sauce are a simple pairing that lets you taste the original voice of the ingredients. Those who enjoy savoring should give it a try!
