🌙《I Don't Need to Wait for Their Apologies, I Want to Take My Life Back》

Intro｜Some sisterly bonds were once real, and their ending is real too

After walking through what I once thought would be a lasting sisterhood, I gradually came to understand the choices, expectations, interests, and human nature within relationships.

What’s hardest to let go of is often not the person, but the thought in my heart: “If only they would understand me someday.”(｡•́︿•̀｡)

We once laughed, chatted, and shared life’s joys together—I don’t want to deny that. Those beautiful moments were real; yet the hurt, distance, and disappointment that followed are equally real.

I once regretted that they couldn’t see the truth in my eyes, even hoping for an “I’m sorry.”

But later I understood: whether others choose to understand me is not something I can control.

🌷 Content｜I No Longer Hand My Life Over for Them to Score

In the past, I might have wondered if I wasn’t pretty enough, slim enough, socially adept enough, or graceful enough. If I became better, would they like me again?

Now thinking back, it was truly exhausting (laughs) 😂

I can learn from others’ strengths.

Master better posture, bolder on-camera presence, more refined styling, and steadier emotional management.

But I don’t need to become anyone else.

**More importantly, I shouldn’t judge someone’s character by their appearance.** Cool demeanor, vintage style, beauty, or fashion sense are merely external traits; what truly determines whether a relationship lasts is respect, honesty, boundaries, and how we treat each other.

So I no longer analyze “whether she was deceiving me all along.”

Perhaps the sincerity back then was genuine, and perhaps there were conditions in the relationship I didn’t see at the time.

But the answer no longer matters so much.

What matters is—this relationship ultimately hurt me.

Therefore, I have the right to leave.

I’ve also finally realized that what truly needs to change isn’t “how to make them regret,” but myself.

🏃‍♀️ Exercise—don’t just say you’ll start tomorrow.

📖 Read—don’t keep books forever unopened.

🧹 Tidy your room—don’t let laziness keep piling dust on your life.

💰 Manage finances—stop just saying you want to get rich.

📸 Create—stop only imagining success; actually accumulate work every day.

Less talk of “I want to improve,” more action of what you truly do today.

I once wanted to prove I was prettier, wealthier, more popular, and had more romantic prospects than others.

But now, I want a more mature answer:

I want to be healthier, more disciplined, more capable, more productive, and better at protecting myself than yesterday’s me.🌱

If one day I truly become prettier, wealthier, or more popular—that’s wonderful.

But not to provoke anyone.

Because I’ve finally taken the power of my life back from others’ eyes.

If I hear news of them again in the future, I can neither resent nor grow close; neither defend nor argue.

The joys of the past, I can cherish.

The hurts of the past, I can remember.

But I don’t need to live in those memories.

I don’t need to win their words; I only need to win my own life.

Whether they see the truth is their lesson, not my responsibility.

My weaknesses and scars are not my shame.

They can become nourishment for creation, but they shouldn’t become a cage that binds me.

True victory isn’t forcing someone to admit defeat.

It’s the day I suddenly realize:

I no longer need their approval to believe I am worthy of love. 🌸

May the people I meet in the future not require my perfection to stay; and may I first learn to accept this imperfect, sometimes lazy, sometimes mistaken, sometimes hurt self who still chooses to begin again.

Return others’ soul lessons to them.

My life belongs to me. 🪷
