Recently I've been seeing ads for this 『Chanshuo Warm Flow』 in Yangmingshan, mainly emphasizing it's the first new camping + hot spring attraction in Yangmingshan
During their trial operation period, they launched a 『Fireside Tea Brewing on the Volcano』 event, allowing you to use the private hot spring room or suite for 2 hours followed by a nearly 80-minute fireside tea brewing experience—perfect for the recent chilly weather
In addition to soaking, the park also offers self-setup camping and lazy glamping options so you can enjoy the hot spring atmosphere while camping. For Yangmingshan, this is quite a new experience
This time we tried the hot spring fireside tea brewing event; once the weather gets nicer we'll come back to experience Yangmingshan lazy glamping

『Chanshuo Warm Flow』 was formerly Qu'er CHILL: Blue Magpie Feifei; in 2025 it was acquired by the Chanshuo Group, which specially created a high-quality camping site in northern Taiwan
Combined with Taipei's unique volcanic hot springs, it draws from the first white sulfur spring at Lengshuikeng—natural quality that warms the heart
The best part is that when the weather is nice at 『Chanshuo Warm Flow』, you can enjoy lazy glamping while directly overlooking the night view of the city below from the camping area
In the evening you can also pay an extra $500 to enjoy the warm milky-white hot spring; during cherry blossom season the park is even filled with cherry blossoms to admire
We were quick to secure a relaxing soak on the last day of the New Year holiday right after the press release came out
On weekdays, 2 hours of soaking plus fireside tea brewing is only $899; compared with Beitou hot springs, Xingyi Road hot springs, or Xinbeitou hot springs down the mountain, we think the value is quite high
You can also enjoy the fresh forest air of nature and admire the Taipei night view in the afternoon—highly recommended
Today we chose a standard private hot spring room. The space is quite spacious, especially the soaking pool, which can easily fit two 186 cm tall Williams
Outside the window is a small outdoor garden for resting, though our room is right next to the parking lot
We didn't dare go out completely naked, but we could still open the window to enjoy the outdoor scenery
The room does not provide a reclining chair or TV; personally I think two hours of soaking is a bit long, so we ended up leaving half an hour early
At Chanshuo Warm Flow you don't need to bring your own toiletries or towels—they provide everything
By the way, Yangmingshan Chanshuo Warm Flow is actually located inside the former Jingshan Recreation Area (Yangmingshan Hot Spring Resort), so when you come to soak you can also stroll around the park
There are many free parking lots nearby; after parking, come here to check in and get your hot spring key. After soaking, return here to pick up the fireside tea brewing tools and ingredients
Next to the cute camper van is an indoor space decorated with many hanging lanterns—quite charming
This seems to be the main camp office of the Chanshuo Warm Flow camping area; you can do DIY activities and enjoy afternoon tea here, though these are exclusive to camping guests
Since we only came for soaking + fireside tea brewing, we could only use the fireside area at the back
At first I didn't really understand what fireside tea brewing was all about until I saw it on site—it's about everyone gathering around the stove to brew tea and chat
I really like this atmosphere; the ground beneath the stove is covered with pebbles, making you feel as if you're right in a camping area
Everyone sits in camping chairs, brews tea over the fire, warms up snacks, and chats leisurely
For this fireside tea brewing, Chanshuo Warm Flow specially prepared a very Japanese-style nine-compartment ingredient set containing marshmallows, peanuts, mini pancakes, sunflower seeds, sliced red dates, and dried longan
What surprised me was that there was also an orange—can this orange really be placed on the stove?
This time we brewed black tea over the stove; there was brown sugar available on the side if you find the tea a bit bitter
The shop also kindly provided tea ingredients to enhance the aroma; after adding them the tea had a slight sour note that I personally quite liked
We originally thought the stove would be very hot, but only the center with the charcoal is actually warm
The griddle only has mild heat, so even if you accidentally touch the iron plate you won't get burned
Unfortunately, the temperature isn't hot enough; sitting in cold weather for a long time still feels chilly
If you want to warm other ingredients, you'll need to use the long forks provided to skewer them closer to the charcoal area
Otherwise, after leaving the ingredients on the griddle for nearly an hour, they only got slightly warm—the orange never heated up at all
In the end we used two long forks crossed on the griddle and placed the orange on top to roast for a few minutes to get some warmth
Although the stove wasn't as blazing as imagined, gathering around it to brew tea is still a rare and special experience
Combined with two hours of soaking before the tea session and the chance to relax in the park afterward, enjoying cherry blossoms and forest air, this is truly a very chill spot for an afternoon of relaxation. Reservations are a bit full right now, but the fireside tea brewing event continues until May
