Beautiful weather makes us want to head to the beach to see the sea! Living in Taipei, we often head to the Northeast Coast and North Coast on summer holidays. Speaking of the Northeast Coast, Longdong is a paradise for water lovers, with activities like snorkeling, scuba diving, and kayaking all taking place here. The entire coastline comes alive in the summer.
This time we mainly came to 「漁夫家」 near 龍洞漁港 to eat squid rice noodles, then visited the nearby 龍洞漁港潮間帶 to play in the waves and explore the rich marine ecosystem with the kids, enjoying a fulfilling half-day seaside trip!

漁夫家 is right by 龍洞街, looking quite low-key with no fancy decor or eye-catching sign. It's very close to the intertidal zone and diving spots, perfect for refueling after playing in the water.
Just search for the store name on navigation to get there. Closing days are uncertain, so it's best to call ahead to confirm. Parking at 龍洞漁港 is limited, so arriving early in summer is recommended.

The exterior of 漁夫家 looks like an ordinary seaside home, with a few metal tables and plastic chairs under an iron shed, and many green plants and dragon fruit trees planted outside.
Though it lacks fancy air-conditioned decor, sitting here with the sea breeze and the simple fishing village scenery adds a sense of leisure and freedom.
The menu offers limited items, mainly seafood noodles, squid dishes, and stone flower jelly and shaved ice. The menu is handwritten on a board with transparent pricing:

Squid Rice Noodle Soup
When this bowl of squid rice noodles arrived, we exclaimed—the portions are so generous! It's packed with fresh squid, clams, shredded meat, fish balls, and plenty of cabbage.
The broth is sweet and clear, full of natural sweetness from seafood and vegetables. The rice noodles soaked in the broth are smooth with a slight crunch, and the squid is bouncy and fresh, tasting truly premium!
Fried Squid
This fried squid is highly recommended—definitely a must-order! The fresh squid is coated in a thin batter and fried to golden crispiness.
One bite reveals a crispy exterior, while the squid inside retains moisture and perfect elasticity, never dry. The aroma is overwhelming, making it impossible to stop eating!
Soft Squid Fried Noodles
This soft squid fried noodles are also excellent! The sauce evenly coats the oil noodles with generous portions of large squid pieces, onions, cabbage, and shredded meat. It's savory with a hint of wok aroma, and the squid is chewy, leaving you very satisfied after eating.
Agar Stone Flower Jelly
After the hot seafood dishes, a cup of the shop's special stone flower jelly is a must! Unlike ordinary stone flower jelly drinks, this one includes dragon fruit grown by the owner for color and fresh lemon juice.
The beautiful pink hue looks super appealing, tasting sweet and sour, smooth, and refreshing. The natural stone flower jelly has a slight chew, so delicious we finished one and ordered another right away! Only $50 per cup!
After eating, of course we headed to the beach. The waters around 龍洞 are clear, a paradise for diving enthusiasts. Walking along the paths around 龍洞漁港, you can see many visitors snorkeling, scuba diving, or playing in the water.
The rocky reefs and tidal pools along the 龍洞 coast are rich in terrain, ideal for bringing kids to observe marine life during low tide.
Walking on the intertidal zone and carefully observing the crevices and pools reveals many surprises: hermit crabs with beautiful shells, sideways-walking crabs, and even small sea urchins hidden in rock crevices and various small fish.
Watching the kids excitedly squat by the tide pools exploring nature, soaking up the sun and listening to the waves, brings complete relaxation to body and mind.
A reminder: the rocks in the intertidal zone are slippery and have sharp edges, so wear non-slip shoes and remember to protect the marine ecosystem—return the cute marine life safely after observing!
The North Coast and Northeast Coast are truly full of treasures! This time at 漁夫家 near 龍洞漁港, we enjoyed seafood dishes full of authentic flavors, especially the crispy fried squid and refreshing stone flower jelly, which we still can't stop thinking about.
