This Japanese restaurant was accidentally discovered by Fenyuan,

After eating there once, I fell in love with it because it's truly delicious and affordable

The shop is located in an alley near Xingtian Temple Station, a small, cozy and low-key storefront

During meal times, you basically have to queue, but the turnover is fast

The catch in the shop is very transparent and fresh,

The chef prepares it fresh upon order, so it takes a little time

The shop space is not large, with about 20+ seats,

But it's very bright, clean and comfortable

They have a wide variety of dishes, and everything looks delicious

The best part is that upgrading the main course to a set meal only costs an additional NT$69, which includes side dishes / miso soup / chawanmushi / rice

You can even switch the white rice to a small bowl of salad~~ Very friendly

Limited-time dishes of the day are at the checkout counter, and you can order directly from the staff

This shop does not charge a service fee, so tea water / tissues / soy sauce must be self-served

1. 傳鮨 Gunkan: NT$90

傳鮨 Gunkan is also a must-order. Each gunkan has two chef-selected flavors, so one bite gives you two kinds of umami

The first time I ordered, it was crab roe + fresh shrimp, very bouncy and rich

The other was minced tuna with crab meat, also very fresh and delicious

Topped with salmon roe to enhance texture and freshness

2. Seared Salmon Belly Nigiri: NT$90/ Scallion Tuna Gunkan: NT$80 / Angel Shrimp Nigiri: NT$110/ Scallop Nigiri: NT$120 / Seared Flounder Nigiri: NT$120 / 傳鮨 Gunkan: NT$90

Since every nigiri looked delicious, I started ordering randomly,

It turns out none were disappointing; each one leaves a lasting impression

The salmon quality is excellent, so it has plenty of fat, and after searing, it's full of aroma and melts in the mouth

The scallion tuna's tuna is very fresh and sweet, and the seaweed is super crispy

The angel shrimp is huge and plump, can't finish in one bite~~

Paired with some salmon roe, the umami is further enhanced

The scallop nigiri goes without saying—thick, fresh, sweet and delicate, super great

The seared flounder nigiri is super fatty and tender, full of oily aroma after searing, melts in the mouth

The 傳鮨 Gunkan this time had crab roe paired with lobster, very rich

The other was salmon roe with crab meat, full of seafood umami

3. Assorted Sashimi: NT$390

This is what Fenyuan thinks is the most worthwhile dish, with the chef's selection on top

This time the fish included sea bream belly, tuna, scallop, salmon, squid, red snapper, swordfish, angel shrimp

Each has 2 pieces, only scallop is 1, salmon has 3 pieces

Every piece of sashimi is very fresh and delicious; sashimi lovers must not miss it

4. Sea Bream Belly Sashimi: NT$120

Sea bream belly sashimi is super bouncy and fresh, plenty of fat, melts in the mouth,

5. Seared Flounder Eel Hand Roll: NT$120/ Seared Sea Bream Belly Crab Roe Hand Roll: NT$100

Their hand rolls are really eye-catching and delicious, super large roll, can't finish in one bite

And Fenyuan ordered all double-flavor ones, one roll lets you taste two flavors, highly recommended

Seared flounder has super rich fat, melts in the mouth, eel is very elastic

Sea bream itself is very elastic, the belly has richer fat, becomes even smoother after searing

Paired with plenty of rich crab roe, umami explodes～～

6. Seafood Udon Hot Pot: NT$280+NT$69 Set Meal (Salad instead of rice)

The seafood udon is a super large pot, full of seafood ingredients inside

Lots of various fish chunks and bouncy shrimp, plus shiitake mushrooms/tofu/fish cake/konjac,

Every bite has ingredients

The soup base has a hint of miso flavor, slightly sweet, very tasty

Pairing with the set meal, suggest switching to a small bowl of salad with sesame dressing, very refreshing and healthy

The set meal sides include three kinds of daily hot dishes, all very refreshing

The chawanmushi is also quite good, all specially made by the shop

Contains fish cake, plus shiitake and chicken, very substantial

The miso soup leans toward Japanese style, not too sweet

7. Mixed Tempura: NT$210+NT$69 Set Meal

The mixed tempura is also quite good, with lots of content,

Includes 3 large shrimp, plus cauliflower/sweet potato/yam/eggplant/shiitake/baby corn/zucchini

Every piece has a thin and crispy batter, preserving the original tenderness of the ingredients, highly recommended

8. Japanese Fried Chicken: NT$160+NT$69 Set Meal

Fenyuan also recommends the Japanese fried chicken set meal because the chicken pieces are crispy outside and tender inside, very authentic Japanese fried chicken

Generous portion, not greasy, friends who want hot food should definitely try it

9. Japanese Fried Tofu: NT$120

This fried tofu is also high quality, made with egg tofu

But the batter is thin and slightly elastic, paired with light Japanese bonito soy sauce, very refreshing

This shop has already been listed by Fenyuan as a place to revisit multiple times...

Because everything is delicious and fresh, and the prices are very reasonable, highly recommended～
