[Electronics Industry Rookie Production Controller] Rookie Experience Card Quota Used Up

Today, I suddenly had a feeling of "I probably can't be treated as a newcomer anymore."

Seven months into the job, the time is neither long nor short, but in others' eyes, that sense of tolerance like "it's okay if you're new and unfamiliar" has slowly disappeared; many things are taken for granted that you should know and handle, and if you don't catch them, they will be magnified and scrutinized.

But really, from just one month into the job, I felt the atmosphere of this production line. That very clear sense of "that's your own business" distance, talking to them is like fighting a boss; I never get a direct answer, they won't tell me how to do it, they just say "I don't know" or "you have to ask," but I know in my heart that they do know, they just choose not to say, as if saying it would make them responsible, so it's safest to say nothing.

But for me, this is really a waste of time. There's already so much to do, and in those moments, I have to go back and forth figuring out "what are you trying to say," "what's the point," "so what." Rather than beating around the bush and constantly trial and error, it's better to just speak clearly from the beginning, know where the logic is, and with the first experience, I'll naturally know how to handle it later.

But even though I've been on the job for seven months and am no longer a newcomer, there are still many things I won't know if I haven't encountered them. This isn't an attitude problem; it's a lack of experience. Of course, I hope that one day I can become that kind of production controller who can handle anything without asking, like the all-rounder I was at my previous company, but I know that at this stage, I really can't.

Unfortunately, others no longer look at you from the perspective of "you're still learning," so I think that rookie experience card is probably really used up.

When I realized this, I didn't have too many emotions. Since no one will take the initiative to tell me, I just have to find the answers myself. If the production line won't speak, then I'll ask someone else; if this window doesn't say, then I'll probe from other departments; bit by bit, piece together the information, and dig out those things that should have been directly told to you.

It's a bit like playing a puzzle game, except this game has no hints, and no one will tell you where you're stuck; you'll stumble and feel frustrated and in pain, but you have to keep going because I know no one will give me any more buffer time, so I just have to force myself to develop that ability, tell myself that it's okay to be slow, but at least keep digging forward, step by step, to get it done.
