🌟A small shop hidden in the alley, always with plenty of customers every time I pass by, business looks consistently good, so I decided to give it a try when I had time.
🌟The interior is quite small, with seats mainly at the counter, so once seated you're almost face-to-face with the owners at close range. I was a bit worried it might feel awkward while eating, but the owners are mostly focused on preparing meals, busy grilling meat, frying things, and serving dishes, so it actually feels more comfortable than expected, and you can watch the food being made up close.
🌟The grilled chicken thigh set meal is quite complete, including chicken thigh, white rice, miso soup, salad fruit, two side dishes, and chawanmushi, with generous portions that show sincerity. The chicken thigh is grilled well, not too dry, with a nice aroma on the skin, though the seasoning leans more savory than sweet overall.
🌟The miso soup tastes smooth at first, but the saltiness becomes more noticeable toward the end, perfect for sipping slowly with rice. The side dishes are consistently good, and the fruit is sweet, making it one of the more memorable parts of the set.
🌟The Japanese-style udon soup set also comes with salad fruit, two side dishes, and chawanmushi, so the overall content isn't monotonous. The udon broth is very rich, so salty that even heavy-salt lovers might need several sips of water midway through.
🌟The karaage chicken's coating reminds me of Luisa's fried items, with similar texture and flavor, but here it's properly cooked through, avoiding any undercooked powdery feel. The chicken has a crispy exterior, and pairing it with the salad on the side prevents greasiness; the salad dressing is quite aromatic, though not sweet, so a bit more sweetness would make it even better.
🌟The age-dashi tofu uses a firmer tofu rather than egg tofu, giving a different texture from the expected silky smoothness. By the time I got to this dish I was already very full and couldn't finish it all; big eaters will definitely be satisfied here～
