Some say that if you visit Penghu without hearing the sound of the sea at Fenggui Cave, you haven't really been to Penghu. "Fenggui Listening to the Waves" is a famous Penghu spot located at the end of the Fenggui Peninsula, known locally as "Fenggui Tail". Its basalt is quite impressive; due to long-term erosion by sea waves, it has formed rare sea-eroded grooves, and at the bottom of these grooves, another sea-eroded cave has been formed. This sea-eroded cave follows the rock texture cracks to a small hole on the ground; every time the tide comes in and waves rush in, it compresses the air in the sea-eroded cave and then sprays the seawater out from the cracks, producing a sound like a bellows, thus earning it the name as one of Penghu's wonders.
Next to Fenggui Cave, there is a recently popular spot! It's this white observation deck.
The cute and round shape like Tongluo Shao makes it an instant hit for photo check-ins; walking up allows you to see the vast, endless seascape.
Taking photos on this lookout platform is full of literary vibes, giving a very relaxed and leisurely feeling, especially with its perfect white and blue color scheme, perfectly matching the clear blue sky and white clouds, it's truly very comfortable!
The most recommended time to visit Fenggui Cave is during Penghu's peak travel season from April to September. At this time, the weather is stable, the sea is a vibrant blue, and the waves crashing on the shore are at their most powerful, making it the golden period for listening to the "wind sounds" and taking beautiful photos. However, due to the characteristics of strong winds and waves, be sure to pay attention to safety when approaching the rocky shore, especially when traveling with children and elders, please take extra care.
Additionally, it's recommended to wear a windproof hat or tie your hair securely, otherwise, as soon as you enter the cave entrance, you might experience the "one-second messy hair style". On sunny days, the sun is strong, so don't forget sunscreen and hydration!
