A while ago after returning from Japan I really missed curry omurice, so I searched around Taipei for a good place and finally found one! Hidden in an alley in Xinyi District, 巧主廚的隱咖哩 offers affordable yet incredibly delicious food. The god-tier delicious omurice paired with rich curry brings the taste of Japan in every bite~ Besides curry, you must try the croquette here—super crispy and tasty!

Although the store has limited seating, it is comfortable with air conditioning, making it a great spot for hot summer days~
There is also an adorable dog in the store!! Very friendly~

Paired with the chef's curry, researched for over ten years and specially developed to suit Taiwanese tastes, it really deserves 100 points~ For fried items, I recommend the Karaage fried chicken. It tastes completely different from the usual—juicy, full of meat, not dry at all~
The delicious slow-cooked curry paired with tender omurice is the perfect match! The owner's recommended Karaage chicken really surprised me—super tasty! Very different from the usual Karaage I get elsewhere; not greasy, yet crispy, and every bite is juicy and tender!

Today I got a freshly fried croquette—oh my god, it was so delicious! The crust is super crispy, and the inside is full of smooth, dense mashed potato. Getting one of these with the meal is amazing!
