Fresh squid meal box｜Whole squid with black rice and seasonal vegetables

This time we ordered the fresh squid meal box. Upon opening, the most eye-catching item is the whole grilled squid on top.

The squid is presented whole with a substantial appearance and beautiful color after grilling.

The texture is chewy and bouncy, mainly seasoned with sea salt, allowing the natural freshness of the squid to shine without being overpowering.

The meal box also comes with a slice of lemon—squeezing a bit of juice adds a refreshing citrus aroma.

If you enjoy seafood, this fresh squid meal box is quite memorable.

Black rice paired with a variety of vegetables, rich in color

Besides the main dish, the side dishes are also plentiful.

The staple is black rice, accompanied by fried egg, sweet potato, fried tofu, carrot, pickled daikon, dragon fruit, and two stir-fried greens.

The fried egg stands out with its tender texture, adding depth when eaten with the black rice.

Sweet potato and fried tofu provide additional satiety.

The two stir-fried greens have a balanced savory flavor, well-seasoned without the common complaint that healthy meals lack taste.

Combining grilled squid, black rice, fried egg, and various vegetables offers a range of textures in every bite.

If you care about your diet but want to avoid monotonous boiled meal boxes, SICO料理所 is worth considering among Changhua healthy meal box options.
