Walking into Taotao, you can smell the fresh sweet seafood aroma~ The angel fountain at the entrance immediately makes you feel Taotao's uniqueness! The interior design is elegant with a premium feel, different from typical steam pot restaurants—bright, spacious, European-style, with blue-white-gray tones for extra elegance and charm~

The space offers 2-4 person square tables, 6-8 person round tables, and 3 private round table rooms for 10 people, two of which can be combined into one larger room! Special requests for private events can be arranged and discussed~

Today we had four people, so we sat at a four-person sofa table. The space between seats is spacious and not crowded, and the table is large enough for comfortable dining~ Perfect for small family meals or couple dates!

For business gatherings or banquets, larger groups can use the big round tables. Taotao's round tables differ from traditional hotel designs, featuring elegant European style with a modern touch, making the dining experience feel much more upscale!

Appetizer Side Dishes

Simple yet appetizing side dishes—kelp strips and Korean kimchi are classic starters!

Complimentary Soup

The complimentary soup is truly sincere—a refreshing chicken broth simmered with Jinhua ham and old hen, also used as the base for the final porridge! Each cup includes red goji berries representing the three water drops in the character "濤". The soup is light, not greasy, especially comforting on cold days—warming and refreshing. Unlimited refills; the server tops it up as soon as it's finished. I personally drank nearly 10 cups~

Koshihikari Rice with Scallop Porridge

They start simmering the porridge you'll eat at the end right in the pot base! Koshihikari Rice with Scallop Porridge uses premium Japanese Koshihikari rice. During cooking, it fully absorbs the essence of the seafood steaming above, with all flavors slowly seeping into the porridge through steam! Can't wait for the final result!

Seasonal Shellfish

Today's is my favorite large clams! Each one is big and plump. Watching them open while waiting is so exciting~

The clam meat is large and full. Once the steamer opens, the aroma bursts out immediately, making everyone's mouth water~

The most satisfying thing about Taotao is the butler-style table service—we don't have to lift a finger, just speak! Staff serve portions onto plates for us to enjoy directly~ The clams are incredibly fresh and sweet. Thinking about the clam juices dripping into the porridge below makes it taste even fresher~~

Blue Diamond Shrimp

Next is the Blue Diamond shrimp! These shrimp are huge! Staff even arrange them beautifully on the plate—looks gorgeous and appetizing!

The Blue Diamond shrimp meat is springy and sweet—even without sauce it's delicious!

Seasonal Vegetables

After seafood and meat, vegetables help refresh the palate! The portion is just right, and since it's steamed without seasoning, it's very light and refreshing~

I really like the meat section because it's paired with vegetables, so it doesn't feel greasy at all. The plum blossom pork has just the right fat-to-lean ratio and isn't oily. Paired with cabbage underneath—superb!

Paired with Thai sweet chili sauce—absolutely delicious and addictive~

Penghu Squid / Taiwan Fresh Abalone

My mom loves squid, so seeing Penghu squid made her so happy~

The squid is plump and springy, really large. You can taste the full seafood flavor even without sauce~

Taiwan fresh abalone is also huge! After steaming, the abalone is large, smooth, and tender with super fresh flavor!

The texture is wonderfully springy—seafood lovers will be obsessed~

Fresh Grouper

Fish lovers, check this out! Locally farmed Taiwan grouper is ultra fresh, thick meat full of collagen! Steamed fish is best when the flesh is soft, tender, and sweet~

Look at this grouper—big chunks, soft and tender, full of gelatin that nourishes skin and stomach~

Snowflake beef also has bean sprouts underneath. Eating with vegetables prevents greasiness and adds texture!

The beef fat is evenly distributed, meat is fresh and delicious—tastes great with sauce~

Boston Lobster

Finally, the most anticipated Boston lobster, sourced from Canada and the US. The bright red lobster looks stunning!

Filled with plenty of tomalley!

Steamed Boston lobster—plenty of springy, chewy meat. Importantly, the restaurant has already peeled and portioned it for us—just pull it apart! The springy texture makes every bite pure happiness~

Koshihikari Rice with Scallop Porridge

After all the steamed items, comes the grand finale—Koshihikari Rice with Scallop Porridge. All the essence is now in the porridge! Staff add egg and celery at the end and mix—smells amazing!

They also add the complimentary soup from earlier—aroma intensifies!

The Koshihikari porridge, fully infused with essence, has a light yet rich seafood flavor. Leftovers can be packed to continue cooking at home~~

Seasonal Dessert

Two dessert options: Chun Yi Zhi popsicle or purple rice porridge~

I love the sea salt watermelon flavor—sweet and salty, super tasty. A popsicle for dessert is just perfect~

Eating too much processed food and refined carbs? Occasionally enjoy prototype foods—steamed, healthy, and tasting the original juices and flavors, light yet delicious~ Every table has butler-style service, effortless dining with no finger lifting. The location is convenient, just 3 minutes' walk from MRT Xinzhuang Fuduxin Station, near Honghui Plaza—perfect for a stroll after eating. Friends who haven't tried it yet must come and taste it~~
