Recently after school I always take mom to eat something good. There's a delicious handmade restaurant hidden in the alleys near City Hall Station: 鳥作洋食. We've always wanted to go. It just opened in July this year and is often full during meal times, so you need to arrive early to get a seat~ 鳥作洋食's omelette curry rice and sinful macaroni are super delicious, made fresh to order with generous portions, and you must order a caramel apple cheesecake after your meal!

鳥作洋食 is located in an alley near City Hall Station, just a 5-minute walk from Exit 1! The exterior is warm and cute with a Japanese-style vibe! Wooden tones paired with yellow lighting give a homey feel~
During meal times many people come here for the food, so if you want a better dining experience try to avoid peak hours~
鳥作洋食 specializes in Japanese-style hamburg steaks, omelette curry rice, and pasta. Every dish emphasizes handmade quality with generous ingredients and large portions that will leave you full! We recommend ordering dessert after your meal—鳥作洋食's desserts are unique and delicious!
My favorite part of omurice is the omelette! 鳥作洋食's omelette curry rice looks and tastes great. The curry is aged curry slowly simmered for 3-4 hours with private spices, dark chocolate, and a signature broth, plus fresh vegetables like carrot, potato, and onion—every bite is fragrant and sweet! Today we ordered the Surf & Turf version with fried chicken, fried shrimp, and fried squid—very generous! One girl can eat until she's very full~
I love eating macaroni so much that I have to have it even if it's sinful! Rich cheddar cheese with plenty of buttery aroma combined with macaroni is the ultimate sinful yet perfect pairing!
Paired with rich, uniquely chewy Matsusaka pork—it’s really special! You get a crisp-tender texture amid the thick cheese aroma. Although the cream can be a bit heavy, the Matsusaka pork helps cut through the richness~
The set meal soup is very aromatic—mom finished it right away when it arrived. Super rich~
Because there were many customers today the food took a while, and while waiting we kept smelling the bread aroma! The bread is handmade daily by the chef and tastes completely different from regular buns—full of wheat fragrance and very chewy! Dipping it in the sauce gives another layer of flavor~
As a cheese lover I had to try the fried cheese~ A whole wheel of rich Brie cheese coated in breadcrumbs and fried until golden and crispy—one bite is pure happiness! The contrast of crispy outside and soft inside is a must-try~ Paired with scallion yogurt sauce made from northern Taiwan scallions, the multi-layered texture also reduces the greasiness of the fried dish!
The final dessert was truly amazing! Mom and I always need something sweet after savory food. This cheesecake is incredibly delicious—I usually don’t like cheesecake because it feels too heavy, but the caramel apple cheesecake lets you taste the full cheese flavor with a fine, smooth texture and rich milky aroma. Topped with caramelized apple chunks that add a hint of caramel bitterness, it creates wonderful layers! Perfect after a meal!
