After doing this job, I slowly realized something.
Some clients come looking for a woman, but it's not entirely because they "want a woman."
At least not as simple as it first appears.
Some people are usually too busy with work.
They wake up in the morning and go to work, and at night when they get home they're still replying to messages.
They have their own company and need to take care of their employees.
They have a family and need to handle a ton of things.
Some even spend every day solving other people's problems.
But when it comes to their own issues, they don't know who to talk to.
Sometimes adults really have very few places to relax
When we were kids and felt tired, we could tell our parents.
When we felt bad, we could find friends.
After growing up, it seems like everything becomes:
"It's fine."
"Just push through a little longer."
"Everyone's busy."
Over time, even we get used to it.
Work problems, we swallow them ourselves.
Relationship issues, we think them over alone.
Even under huge pressure, we still go to work as usual the next day.
Others might look at you and think:
"This person seems to have a pretty good life, right?"
But deep down you know.
Sometimes you're just really tired.
It's not about lacking money.
It's not about lacking a woman.
And it's not even about lacking a way to solve problems.
You just want to find some time to temporarily not deal with those things.
Some clients chat with me for a long time before finally revealing the real reason
This kind of thing is actually quite common.
At first they just ask about the girl.
How are the photos?
What type?
How much is the price?
Is the time okay?
Only as the conversation goes on do they slowly say:
"Work has really been annoying lately."
"I haven't had any rest these days."
"I've been arguing with my girlfriend nonstop."
"I don't even know what to do when I get home every day."
"It's been a long time since I had a proper conversation with someone."
That's when I realize.
What he's really looking for today might not be "the most beautiful girl."
He's just looking to pause his mind for a bit.
So I've always felt that what you're paying for is sometimes "time"
You might think:
Spending this money is just to meet a girl.
But for some people, what they're really buying might be an evening, a free slot, or a few hours without having to deal with work.
Put the phone aside for now.
Don't think about work for now.
Those problems that haven't been solved today can be left for tomorrow.
Just let yourself be quiet for a while.
This kind of thing is actually hard to measure with a price.
Because everyone's life is different.
Some people think an evening is ordinary.
Others might not have truly relaxed for several months in a row.
But I also don't think this means "money can solve loneliness"
I still want to make this clear.
If you're really lonely today, it doesn't mean that having someone accompany you for a while will suddenly make all your problems disappear tomorrow.
Work will still be there.
Relationship issues will still be there.
Life still has to go on.
So I don't really like framing this as some kind of "healing" or "curing loneliness."
It's not that magical.
It's more like:
When you're really tired, you temporarily let yourself catch your breath.
That's it.
Once the rest is over, you still have to go back and face your own life.
Sometimes I feel that men really rarely have a place where they can simply relax
Especially since many men were taught from a young age:
To have a sense of responsibility.
To be capable.
To make money.
Not to be afraid when facing problems.
Not to be too vulnerable.
Over time, even they don't know how to say they're tired.
So when some clients come to me, I don't always ask:
"What type are you looking for today?"
Sometimes I chat with them for a bit first.
How's work lately?
Have you been busy?
Why did you suddenly want to find someone?
Sometimes as we talk, they'll say it themselves.
They're actually just really tired lately.
So now I'm increasingly feeling
It's not strange at all for people to want to indulge once in a while.
Wanting to eat a good meal.
Wanting to travel alone.
Wanting to sleep all day.
Wanting to have coffee with a friend.
Wanting to chat with someone.
Or just wanting to temporarily step away from the repetitive daily routine.
It's all normal.
Adults aren't machines.
It's impossible to work, make money, and handle things every day while staying in perfect condition forever.
Sometimes giving yourself a break is what gives you the strength to keep moving forward.
Finally, I want to say to those who read this article
If you've really been exhausted lately.
Don't rush to think there's something wrong with you.
And don't feel strange just because you want someone to keep you company.
Everyone has their own way of relaxing.
But don't forget, in the end, the one who truly makes your life better is still yourself.
Sleep when you need to sleep.
Rest when you need to rest.
Handle things gradually when they need handling.
If you just want a few hours to catch your breath, there's no need to overcomplicate it.
I've met many different people in this line of work.
In the end, I realized that what people seem to want on the surface may differ.
But what many adults truly lack is actually the same thing:
A time when they don't have to keep holding it together.
Sometimes, these few hours are more important than you imagine.
At least in that moment, you don't have to be a boss, an employee, someone's boyfriend, or someone's son.
You can just be yourself for a while.
Catch your breath.
And then go back to living your own life.
