🏰⚡️【From Fifth Grade in Elementary School Until Now, I Finally Walked into the Taipei Harry Potter Flagship Store】⚡️🏰

Some movies, you forget after watching.

But some stories truly grow up with you.

To me, Harry Potter is the latter.🪄

This time at the Taipei Harry Potter flagship store, not long after walking in, my ears were greeted by the most familiar and favorite opening track from the Harry Potter film soundtrack.

In that moment, it really felt like—

“Oh my god, I’m back in childhood.”🥹

As the familiar melody played, so many old scenes flooded back into my mind.

I’ve been obsessed with Harry Potter since fifth grade. Back then, it wasn’t as convenient as now—no short videos summarizing plots, no instant movie analyses available anytime.

Just reading the novels one by one, watching the movies one by one.

From elementary school age, all the way through junior high, high school, and finally to the seventh novel.

Harry, Ron, and Hermione were growing up, and it felt like I was growing up with them.

I used to fantasize about receiving my own Hogwarts acceptance letter one day; I’d wonder which house the Sorting Hat would put me in?🧙‍♀️

I’d also imagine walking into Diagon Alley to buy a wand, boarding the Hogwarts Express at the platform, and even the familiar scenes, music, and characters from the movies became part of my childhood memories.

So walking into the Harry Potter flagship store this time felt like more than just “visiting a store.”

It was more like my grown-up self revisiting the child I once was.❤️

Seeing those familiar house crests, wands, costumes, collectibles, and all kinds of merchandise, I couldn’t help but think: “I know this! I remember that too!”

Every little item could spark a scene from the story.

And I have to say, the items inside are truly exquisite!✨

Many products, when you look closely, have beautifully crafted details. For true Harry Potter fans who’ve loved it for years, it’s basically a massive impulse-buy zone.

But……

Here comes the “but.”🤣🤣🤣

Why is everything so expensive!!!

Before going in, I thought:

“I’m just looking, I’m very rational.”

After going in:

“This is so cute……”

“This is so exquisite……”

“I really want to collect this……”

“I could probably buy this and take it home, right?”

Then seeing the price:

“Okay, let’s just keep admiring.”😂

All I can say is the magical world really isn’t a place Muggles can casually spend in.💸🪄

But even without buying anything, just slowly browsing and looking around inside, I already felt it was worth it.

Because what truly moved me wasn’t the merchandise.

It was that sudden realization—

That a story I loved so much as a child could still make me happy after all these years.

After we grow up, life brings work, pressure, reality, and many things we must face.

As a child, I believed the magical world was real;

As an adult, I know it’s just novels and movies.

Yet it’s amazing how, when the familiar music plays again, I still have those few seconds of believing I’ve returned to that imaginative age.

The version of myself who could get excited for a novel or movie for a long time, and believe magic truly existed somewhere in the world.

Looking back now, I realize Harry Potter has long been more than just a series of novels or movies to me.

It’s a childhood that stretched from fifth grade all the way through high school and still remains in my heart today.

The child I once was never actually received a Hogwarts acceptance letter,

But the adult I am now walked into the magical world myself.⚡️

Maybe this is one kind of romance that comes with growing up.

We know magic isn’t real,

Yet we’re still willing to be moved by the magic we once believed in.✨

Thank you, Harry Potter, for growing up with me.

And thank you to that little girl who started chasing the magical world from fifth grade and still hasn’t completely forgotten how much she once loved this story.

A Harry Potter fan’s childhood never really graduates.🪄🏰⚡️

As for today’s biggest takeaway:

Magic is real,

Childhood is real,

Memories are real,

And……

Harry Potter merchandise is really expensive—that’s also real.🤣💸
