Operating for over 20 years, "香米泰國料理" is truly a must-try Taipei Thai cuisine recommendation. Its authentic flavors and powerful seasoning fully live up to its status as Taiwan's first Thai-style restaurant certified by the Thai government with the "Thai Select" designation. It ranks among the top in various restaurant reviews, not only delicious but also using high-quality ingredients. The newly launched Wagyu series breaks through previous Thai cuisine concepts; the mango sticky rice is even more delicious than many restaurants in Thailand!

As Dong and William stepped into 香米泰國料理Home's復北店, they immediately saw this shining Thai SELECT plaque!
Whether a restaurant offers authentic Thai flavors is certified by a dedicated unit under Thailand's Ministry of Commerce, and the certification issued is this Thai SELECT!
This mark symbolizes that the restaurant follows traditional Thai recipes and cooking procedures, with flavors close to authentic Thai cuisine. In Taiwan, only about 50 restaurants have received this mark, and 香米泰國料理Home's復北店 is Taiwan's first to earn this honor, an outstanding Taipei Thai restaurant.
Honestly, 香米泰國料理Home's復北店 is located within Dong and William's usual living area. Even though it's always crowded, its luxurious and dazzling appearance made us hesitant to enter.
Unexpectedly, after mustering the courage to go in, we immediately added it to our favorites list and discovered it's not as expensive as imagined! We really regret not coming earlier!
The entire environment uses a lot of gold and dark wood tones, truly giving off a Thai restaurant vibe.
The service staff are incredibly patient and have an explosively good attitude; they can handle any conversation, like the Four Heavenly Kings of chatting.
Even though William was late, under their meticulous service, Dong was seated first. On such a hot day, we are truly grateful!
While looking at the menu, the staff told me
Just press this button and they will come help us order—it's really convenient.
And pressing the bell won't ring throughout the entire restaurant, which is great~
The prices at 香米泰國料理 are more affordable than expected, even with such luxurious decor~
The menu is a thick stack with a super variety of dishes to choose from! And the minimum spend is only NT$400.
For gatherings with friends or company events, the set meals here are all prepared for you.
From 2 to 10 people, everything is well arranged! Basically, whatever you want to order is listed here~
The rice was super impressive when served—this rice pot is beautiful!
We love this bamboo-woven rattan basket~ The key is that the rice grains are distinct, fluffy, and delicious.
It won't turn mushy or sticky at all!
It's said to use AAA-grade royal jasmine rice, full of aroma and soft, glutinous flavor—truly delicious.
Thai cuisine definitely calls for Thai milk tea! How could we miss it!
香米泰國料理's Thai milk tea has a rich flavor~ Very close to what you get in Thailand, like being back in Thailand~
香米's Tom Yum Kung soup is fresh, spicy, sour, with a hint of sweetness.
We used to worry about Thai seafood soup being too sour or stimulating, but 香米's seafood soup was surprisingly smooth and pleasant!
The warm entrance is very comfortable, and the spice proportions aren't overly bold.
This is the flavor we tasted in Thailand—much more normal compared to some overly seasoned Thai dishes! We love it so much~ No wonder it received Thai government certification~ Truly authentic!
The ingredients are also very substantial; a big bowl is full of large chunks of seafood no matter how you scoop.
Eating it is extremely satisfying!
香米泰國料理's moon shrimp cake is super thick!
That thickness looks orgasmic just from looking~
Crispy outer layer paired with soft, Q-textured shrimp meat.
Dipped in sweet and sour sauce, one big bite is full of happiness! That thickness makes the shrimp cake even more flavorful—really delicious!
One of the new dishes at 香米泰國料理復北店 is the addition of this Wagyu that everyone drools over.
This Thai-style Wagyu jerky mimics the traditional Thai beef jerky method—marinated, dried, then deep-fried!
香米泰國料理 transforms this traditional dish using premium Wagyu ingredients,
turning a traditional snack into a high-end dish on the table. Besides preserving historical and cultural significance, it elevates this small dish into refined cuisine!
Due to Wagyu's rich fat content, the resulting jerky isn't overly dry or hard, yet has a wonderful aroma! The texture is truly impressive! Paired with sauce, it adds even more flavors.
First off! This fried chicken is boneless~ Super thoughtful! If a few friends eat together, spitting bones all over the table would be embarrassing.
香米's traditional Thai boneless fried chicken is really convenient, and with its aromatic crispy coating, it's super addictive to eat.
Paired with sour and spicy sauce, it's simply perfect with rice.
Just devour a whole bowl of rice~ Super satisfying.
Biting into the soft, aromatic meat inside, before you know it, the whole plate is gone.
Really delicious!
香米 Thai cuisine's seafood salad is too abundant.
The ratio of seafood to pickled onion and vegetables is just right—no holding back~ So many shrimp!
There are also many types of seafood inside, plus the spicy and sour dressing.
It's really mouthwatering!
It's also a super rice-grabbing dish! A must-order to whet the appetite!
Dong tried Wagyu in a Thai restaurant for the first time.
Didn't expect it to pair so well! The softness difference compared to regular beef is huge!
Don't be fooled by how well-done it looks—it's unbelievably tender in the mouth.
Compared to regular stir-fried beef, the texture is closer to the tenderness of lightly blanched beef.
Paired with Thai spicy sauce, the flavor is strong but really addictive!
When Dong went to Thailand before, he ate mango sticky rice from all over the streets and alleys.
But the mango sticky rice at 香米 was far more delicious than what we had in Thailand! So amazing!
Especially the coconut-flavored sticky rice—the sticky, glutinous taste has kneaded out the rice's natural sweetness. The texture is almost like chewy mochi but still has grains, and paired with that coconut milk, it's super powerful.
The Jin Huang mango's own aroma is very refreshing, paired with the super strong sticky rice.
This dessert can be said to be the best mango sticky rice we've had in Taipei!
Compared to mango sticky rice, Momo Cha Cha's performance is relatively plain.
Still delicious, but it can't compare to the brilliance and standout quality of the mango sticky rice.
It's not that this Momo Cha Cha isn't worth eating.
This Momo Cha Cha is still among the top tier we've had in Taipei, but if I only had room for one dessert, I'd definitely choose mango sticky rice~ If there's plenty of stomach space, I'd definitely eat both!
香米泰國料理 can be said to have overturned all my expectations—luxurious entrance but affordable prices, Wagyu that unexpectedly pairs well, rich seasoning closer to local Thai flavors, super strong mango sticky rice! Each one left me speechless with amazement. I really love it! Directly added to favorites list—definitely visiting again and again!
