Yangmingshan Qingcaiyuan, which I super love, has finally agreed to operate in the city! Although this store has been open for quite a while, I only recently had the chance to dine here
This third-generation operated store mainly handles takeout, with only one table for dine-in, and fewer items on sale
Mainly sells free-range white-cut chicken, bamboo shoot chicken soup, peeled chili chicken soup, fresh bamboo shoots, and fresh milk mantou
If you want to eat mountain vegetables, stream shrimp, or fresh fish, you'll still need to go to Yangmingshan, but having chicken is enough for me

I personally think this store is a bit hard to reach without public transport; the fastest way might be to take the shuttle from Dayeh Takashimaya from the MRT station
It's about a 5-minute walk from Dayeh Takashimaya
I initially didn't know the connection between this store name and Yangmingshan's Qingcaiyuan, until I saw online that it's the third generation of Qingcaiyuan
I came with some doubt, but after tasting the free-range white-cut chicken that matches the mountain location, I feel confident recommending it!
This place is mostly takeout; remember to call ahead for chicken. Although we dined in, we later secretly took two and a half chickens home, and it sold out right after, with at least 5 groups of customers coming for nothing
Somehow, with just two tables inside, there are really no customers choosing to dine in, so you can reserve a table right away
Besides our family, the other table had Japanese customers, and the owner is impressive, communicating fluently in Japanese
Ever since eating at Qingcaiyuan on Yangmingshan once, I've been craving their free-range white-cut chicken
Often when going to Zhuzihu on Yangmingshan, I want to eat it, but driving to Zhuzihu involves a long drive and possible traffic jams
Sometimes when I really crave it, I drive up specially; now I can buy it directly in Tianmu Shilin, and I really envy the Tianmu people
The white-cut chicken provided by 呷雞拉 is the same as Qingcaiyuan on the mountain; not a single piece of chicken is dry!
Even the least flavorful, least juicy chicken breast is handled to be fresh and juicy; somehow their chicken skin tastes incredibly fresh, sweet, and tender
It's delicious even without dipping sauce; every part of the chicken is very tender, and you'll fall in love with it after one bite
The meat near the chicken leg is especially Q-tender and chewy
The chicken fat aroma is even sweeter, and one bite makes you feel full of happiness
The bamboo shoots from the mountain become crispy and bouncy after cooking; although I'm not that fond of braised bamboo shoots
This place is really good too; the bamboo shoots absorb plenty of soup, so they're not too dry or hard to bite
People with bad teeth can eat with peace of mind
It's strange; they look like ordinary mantou, but somehow the mantou sold on Yangmingshan taste especially good
Not as dry as those from regular breakfast shops, and the QQ texture is great, perfect for takeout
Although the sweet potato soup was sold out that day, the Japanese-fluent owner still offered us a big pot of ginger sweet potato soup

It kept us warm during the cold front that day; drinking it made our bodies warm and really comfortable
I can only say I envy the Shilin Tianmu people; even the free-range white-cut chicken originally from Yangmingshan can be bought nearby
Really makes me, a New Taipei person, envious; even if we want to buy it, we have to drive at least half an hour
Their white-cut chicken is really super delicious; highly recommend coming to try it
