Recently ads for 『Chanshuo Warm Flow』 on Yangmingshan keep popping up, highlighting it as the first camping + hot spring spot in the area.
During their soft opening, they launched the 『Volcano Stove-Side Tea Brewing』 activity: enjoy 2 hours in a private hot spring room, then experience nearly 80 minutes of stove-side tea brewing—perfect for the chilly weather.
In addition to soaking, the site offers self-setup camping and lazy camping packages, letting you camp while enjoying the hot spring vibe—a fresh experience on Yangmingshan.
This time we tried the stove-side tea activity; once the weather improves we’ll come back for the lazy camping.

『Chanshuo Warm Flow』 was formerly CHILL: Blue Magpie Feifei and was acquired by the Chanshuo Group in 2025, creating a premium camping site in northern Taiwan.
Combined with Taipei’s unique volcanic hot springs, it draws the first white sulfur spring from Lengshuikeng—natural and comforting.
The best part: on clear days you can enjoy lazy camping while overlooking the city night view from the camping area.
At night you can add NT$500 to soak in the warm milky-white spring; during cherry blossom season the grounds are filled with blossoms.
We were among the first to book the last day of the holiday right after the press release.
Weekday 2-hour soak + stove-side tea is only NT$899—great value compared to Beitou, Xingyi Rd, or Xinbeitou hot springs.
You also get fresh mountain air and can enjoy the Taipei night view in the afternoon—highly recommended.
We chose a standard hot spring room; the space is spacious and the soaking pool is large enough for two 186 cm adults.
Outside the window is a small garden for relaxing, though our room is next to the parking lot.
We didn’t feel comfortable stepping out naked, but you can still open the window for the view.
No lounge chairs or TV inside; two hours felt a bit long, so we finished half an hour early.
No need to bring toiletries or towels—everything is provided.
Note: Chanshuo Warm Flow is located inside the former Jingshan Recreation Area (Yangmingshan Hot Spring Resort), so you can explore the grounds while visiting.
There are several free parking lots nearby; after parking, check in here to receive your room key. After soaking, return here to pick up stove tea equipment and ingredients.
Next to the cute camper van is an indoor space decorated with lanterns—quite charming.
This seems to be the main camp office for the camping area; DIY and afternoon tea activities are held here but are exclusive to camping guests.
We only did the soak + stove tea, so we used the outdoor stove area in the back.
We didn’t fully understand the concept until we arrived: it’s simply gathering around a stove to brew tea and chat.
The setting is lovely—pebbles underfoot make it feel like you’re camping.
Everyone sits in camping chairs, brews tea over the fire, warms snacks, and chats.
They prepared a Japanese-style nine-compartment tray with marshmallows, peanuts, mini pancakes, sunflower seeds, sliced red dates, and dried longan.
The surprise was a whole orange—can it really be heated on the stove?
We brewed black tea; brown sugar is available if you find it bitter.
They also provide aromatic tea ingredients that add a pleasant tangy note.
The stove isn’t blazing hot—only the center charcoal area gets warm.
The tray stays only mildly warm, so you won’t burn yourself, but it’s not enough to fully heat the snacks in cold weather.
To warm items, use the long forks to move them closer to the charcoal.
After nearly an hour on the tray, most items were only slightly warm and the orange never heated up.
We ended up balancing the orange on crossed forks above the charcoal for a few minutes.
Although the stove isn’t as hot as expected, gathering around it to brew tea is a rare experience.
Combined with the 2-hour soak beforehand and the chance to relax among cherry blossoms afterward, it’s a wonderfully chill afternoon escape.
Bookings are filling up, but stove-side tea is still available until May.
