Who says you can only eat boat noodles and mango sticky rice in Bangkok??
The first day we arrived at Big C, we saw this steak restaurant with a long line of people waiting, the queue was ridiculously long. So we walked closer to check the menu, and we were stunned!! Huh?? Is this really the price for steak?? Isn't it way too cheap??
But because there were too many people waiting and we were super hungry right after landing, we went to eat ramen next door instead, but we made sure to take a photo of the store sign. Unexpectedly, two days later we saw this place again somewhere else, so we decided to give it a try!!
You won't know until you try it, and once you do, you'll be amazed!! With this price... for this meal... isn't it way too good of a deal!!
Just look at these prices, they're simply unbelievable. Most à la carte steaks are between 129-159 Thai Baht, and even the most expensive sirloin steak is only 430 Thai Baht. This price in Kaohsiung would be cheaper than many department store food courts! The menu doesn't only have steaks, there are also chicken steaks, pork steaks, fish steaks, burgers, pasta, and salads— so many choices it'll make it hard to decide.
The dining environment has an American retro vibe, and business is always good!!

This is unanimously the item we think has the highest CP value! As soon as it arrives at the table, you can clearly see the caramelized grill marks and glossy fat on the chicken skin. The chicken leg steak is marinated very well with a hint of spiciness, making it very appetizing. The meat is tender and juicy, separating easily from the bone with just one bite. It also comes with crispy French fries, refreshing cabbage salad, and a slice of golden garlic toast that's grilled to perfection. All this for only 129 Thai Baht—there's really nothing to complain about!
The burger is also very good. The burger bun is elastic, stuffed with a whole juicy grilled chicken leg steak, paired with fresh lettuce, tomato, and onion, offering rich layers of texture. It comes with crispy onion rings that are crunchy on the outside and soft inside—definitely worth ordering for burger lovers.
The garlic bread we originally ordered just as a side dish turned out to be surprisingly delicious! The bread has a golden crispy exterior, sprinkled with fragrant minced garlic and Italian herbs. You can smell the strong garlic aroma as soon as it arrives. Although it's a bit oily when you bite into it, the aroma is rich and the inside stays soft—highly recommended to order one to share!
Coming to Bangkok where it's summer all year round, you definitely can't skip refreshing iced drinks with your meal.
The cooling, translucent ice cubes paired with a large satisfying portion— one sip and it's super refreshing!
Eat Am Are (Good Steak) is definitely one of the representatives of affordable food in Bangkok. Although it's not a high-end steakhouse, at this price you can get stable quality, generous portions, and delicious meals—the CP value is truly off the charts!
