Last time visitingMasha Garden, that vast mountain forest scenery was already impressive, this time I chose another scenic restaurant on the same mountain 'Green Space', hoping to bring an afternoon full of greenery and deliciousness.
The restaurant's location is very convenient, situated next to the HutoushanYu Qingfang Memorial, for tourists driving themselves, there are free public parking lots nearby, which is quite convenient.
One of the most attractive features of Green Space is its semi-open outdoor seating area. This design incorporates natural scenery into the dining experience, allowing guests to immerse themselves in nature while enjoying their meals. Sitting in the outdoor area during the day, one can take in the views of the mountain town, with a gentle breeze, enjoying the mountain colors after tea and meals, which is a great pleasure. And it's said that at night, this is an excellent spot to appreciate the charming night scenery of Yujing, with city lights dotted like scattered stars, surely offering a different kind of romantic flavor.
Green Space's menu options are quite diverse, covering everything from hearty hot pots, exquisite light meals, to healing cakes, crispy fried items, and various drinks. Minimum consumption standard: 150 yuan per adult, and 100 yuan for children between 100 to 130 cm in height. This regulation is calculated per person and cannot be combined.

First, let's talk about that pork oil mixed rice, simple and unpretentious, yet an indispensable side. The rice grains are distinct, infused with the aroma of pork oil, with a salty and fragrant taste just right, each bite bringing a perfect oily richness, adding depth to the upcoming fish meat. This simple pork oil mixed rice is the flavor that evokes memories of traditional Taiwanese tastes.
Next is the main act—the Vietnamese Lemongrass Fish. This is a dish where fried yellowfish is drizzled with a special lemongrass sauce and topped with finely chopped scallions; just the appearance is mouthwatering. Actually tasting the fish meat, it remains crispy on the outside and tender inside, without any dryness. The sauce poured over the fish, with the freshness of lemongrass, the unique aroma of lemongrass, and a subtle spiciness, perfectly complements the freshness of the fish while providing an incredibly appetizing effect.
Besides the Vietnamese-style fish, we also ordered a hot pot of 'Meiling Plum Chicken'. This is also one of the must-try signature dishes for many tourists visiting the Yujing area. To fully savor this pot's charming broth, we additionally upgraded to the same aromatic pork oil mixed rice as a side.
The hot pot vegetable platter is very substantial, mainly featuring fresh seasonal vegetables, and thoughtfully includes a portion of fresh pork paste to add to the pot, enhancing the rich meaty aroma of the broth. These plump green vegetables, like cabbage, mushrooms, corn, etc., are excellent pairings for hot pot.
And in the pot, there are about four to five pieces of chicken, soaked in the broth full of plum fragrance. The most key is this broth; upon entering the mouth, a warm sweetness with a distinct plum sour aroma spreads instantly, for those who like broth with layers and unique flavors, this plum chicken hot pot is absolutely something you'll want to sip one bowl after another, warming the stomach and the heart.
