✨This new brunch restaurant is located in a spot I'm quite familiar with, because this storefront has actually changed hands several times before, but none of them lasted very long.
✨What's interesting is that I've tried almost every generation of them, so seeing it turn into a new brunch place again gives me this feeling of wondering how long it'll last this time.
✨This time I ordered several items, and my favorite was the pan-fried chicken thigh burger. The bun is quite soft, not dry or hard at all. It has a slightly fluffy texture when you bite into it, which pairs perfectly with the chicken thigh inside. The chicken thigh itself is also good—the meat isn't too dry, and it has that nice grilled aroma.
✨The hot dog is fried with a good aroma and doesn't taste too oily.
✨The hot pot dish turned out better than I expected. The broth has just the right saltiness and doesn't taste like plain hot water. The worst thing about hot pot is when the soup has no flavor, but this one's broth definitely has presence. However, the shredded chicken has a stronger flavor, which some people might really enjoy.
✨The garlic thick toast is also pretty good. When it's hot right after serving, the garlic aroma is more noticeable, and the bread edges have a bit of crispiness that makes it very fragrant. However, this is really best eaten while hot. If it cools down, the texture can become a bit dry, so it's recommended to eat it first when it arrives, otherwise the experience won't be as good if you save it for last.
✨Overall, this new brunch restaurant performs quite well. The dishes all have a solid level of flavor, especially the pan-fried chicken thigh burger, which stands out the most this time. While it's not mind-blowingly amazing and there are still a few small areas that could be improved, at least you won't be disappointed after eating here. Hopefully this new tenant can stick around longer and not get replaced quickly like the previous ones.
