Fate's Chocolate

Once upon a time, there was a little boy named Amin. His dream was to become a super famous internet celebrity, loved by many people and receiving lots and lots of likes.

He worked hard every day filming videos and writing posts. But hardly anyone watched his videos, and the like count was pitifully low. He felt so frustrated and often shouted at the sky, "Why won't fate give me that piece of 'chocolate' I want so badly?"

What he didn't know was that far, far away, there was a "Fate Office." Inside, a kind "Grandpa Destiny" was watching him through a crystal ball.

Grandpa Destiny shook his head gently: "This child... that chocolate would give him a stomachache."

One day, Amin was strolling in the park, holding his beloved orange cat—Pudding. Pudding was round and chubby and loved purring on Amin's lap.

As he walked, Amin saw a dejected young man wearing a baseball cap and a face mask, hiding his face completely.

"Are you okay?" Amin asked.

The young man looked up, his eyes red: "Don't you recognize me? I'm 'Little K,' the famous comedy internet celebrity."

Amin was shocked! Little K had millions of fans—he was the person Amin used to envy the most!

"What are you doing here alone?" Amin asked.

Little K sighed and sat down: "I haven't slept well for a long, long time. Every time I open my phone, I see people calling me fat, ugly, or washed up. I don't dare to post new videos because no matter what I do, I'll get criticized."

He took off his mask, revealing a face full of exhaustion.

"A few days ago, my mom called and said she hadn't seen me smile in a long time. That's when I realized I'd forgotten how to smile happily."

Amin was surprised: "But... you're so popular, so many people like you, and you have so much money..."

Little K gave a bitter smile: "Those likes are like the wind—they blow away in an instant. But the criticism is like nails, piercing deep into my heart. You know what? I actually envy you, being able to stroll so carefree in the park and laugh while holding your cat."

Amin was stunned.

Just then, Pudding meowed and jumped off Amin's lap, running toward a swing not far away. Sitting on the swing was a beautiful young woman, and she was crying too.

Amin and Little K walked closer and saw—it was "Shiny Sister"! She was also a famous internet celebrity who often shone like the sun on stage.

But now, she was hiding alone on the swing, shedding tears.

"Shiny Sister, what's wrong?" Amin asked softly.

Shiny Sister wiped her tears: "My manager just scolded me, saying my likes are dropping and that I'm done for..." She started crying again. "I really miss the old days when I used to draw and sing with my friends. It was so much fun. Now everyone only cares about my numbers—no one asks if I'm happy."

Little K walked over and gently patted her shoulder: "I understand."

Amin looked at the two heartbroken internet celebrities and suddenly remembered something from his childhood.

When he was little, he once went to the supermarket with his mom. He saw a beautiful, shiny box of "wasabi chocolate" and begged for it. Mom said, "It's spicy—you won't like it." But he didn't believe her and cried and made a fuss until she bought it for him.

He excitedly took a big bite—

"Waaah!" It was so choking and spicy! His tears and snot sprayed out! His whole face wrinkled like a sour plum. That piece of chocolate ended up in the trash.

Standing in the park, Amin looked at Little K, then at Shiny Sister, and suddenly smiled.

"I get it now!" he said happily. "That 'internet celebrity chocolate' I wanted so badly is just like the 'wasabi chocolate'—beautiful packaging, but totally not right for me!"

Up in the sky, Grandpa Destiny saw this through the crystal ball and smiled with joy. He said to the little angel beside him, "Look, this child finally understands."

Amin held Pudding and thought to himself: If he had really become a big internet celebrity, maybe now he'd be like Little K, suffering from insomnia, or like Shiny Sister, hiding away crying—never having time to watch the sunset with Pudding or the mood to laugh genuinely with friends.

"The things you can't get aren't always because you're not good enough," Amin wrote in his diary. "Sometimes it's because heaven is protecting you from eating chocolate that would give you a stomachache."

After that, Amin continued making videos, but only about things he loved: teaching people how to care for stray cats and sharing the little flowers and grass he found in the park. He didn't have many fans, but every comment was warm: "Thank you, watching this made me feel better" "Pudding is so cute" "Brother Amin, I want to be as happy as you."

One day, a child wrote to him: "Brother Amin, you're my favorite internet celebrity!"

Reading the letter, Amin felt warm inside. He knew this was the real gift—not millions of likes, but truly bringing a little happiness to others.

As for Little K and Shiny Sister? They gradually changed too. Little K reduced the number of videos he posted and started learning woodworking—he said sawing wood was much happier than reading comments. Shiny Sister left her agency and opened a small art studio teaching kids how to draw, smiling happily every day.

The three of them and Pudding often had picnics together in the park. No cameras, no like counts—just the wind, the sunlight, and big smiles.

Grandpa Destiny watched this scene through the crystal ball, nodded with satisfaction, then picked up a real milk chocolate and slowly put it in his mouth, smiling sweetly.

The happiness that's right for you might be very ordinary and simple, but it won't give you a stomachache, and it will let you smile happily every day.

Have you noticed? What we truly need is often not the shiniest one, but the one that warms our hearts.
