After arriving at Siping Street, you can spot the eye-catching, nostalgic sign of "Siping Street Tomato Beef Noodles" from afar. The two large, cute tomato illustrations make it clear this place serves tomato-based dishes, while the "Established 1991" text below highlights its veteran status—over thirty years already! The sign also proudly states it's a popular noodle shop featured in Japan.

Stepping inside, you're greeted by a large poster of signature dishes on the wall. Though the decor isn't flashy, the space is clean and bright, with photos of various dishes displayed on the walls—every item looks delicious.

The dining environment follows the style of traditional Taiwanese eateries, with square tables, round stools, and efficient use of space. Whether dining alone for a quick meal or visiting with friends, you'll find a comfortable spot here.

Before the main course arrives, don't miss their variety of tempting side dishes! The lineup of braised items and cold appetizers looks irresistible at first glance.

From braised tofu and seaweed strips to cold eggplant salad, each one is a perfect pairing—great for whetting the appetite and cutting richness. Pairing beef noodles with a side dish makes for an incredibly satisfying meal.

Hanging in the shop is a wooden plaque reading "Home of Knife-Shaved Noodles," another major highlight!

They still insist on hand-cut knife-shaved noodles!! These noodles have a unique texture that's a favorite among noodle lovers. The irregular shapes give them a chewy, satisfying bite.

Besides the signature tomato beef noodles, they also offer clear-broth, braised, and other styles of beef noodles, plus other noodle and rice dishes like pork ribs, chicken leg, and minced pork. At Taipei city prices, the value is quite reasonable and the CP value is excellent.

Tomato Beef Noodles

Voila! The much-anticipated tomato beef noodles have arrived! The broth has an inviting orange-red hue—I wondered if it might be spicy beef oil? But one sip revealed a wonderfully rich tomato soup. Amazing!! This is exactly the broth flavor I love!

Lifting a piece of beef, the thick cut is perfectly stewed—tender yet with a nice chew, carrying a deep beef aroma and the natural sweetness of tomatoes.

The noodles are handmade knife-shaved noodles, each wide and irregularly wavy. They have a springy, resilient texture that makes you want to keep eating one bite after another—the more you chew, the more flavorful they become.

Here's a close-up of the tomato beef noodles! The clarity of the broth, accented by vibrant green bok choy, is visually soothing.

Zhajiang Noodles

Besides the tomato beef noodles, their zhajiang noodles are another must-try dish!

This seemingly simple dry noodle is topped with plenty of braised tofu and minced meat stir-fried together, releasing an enticing sauce aroma. The meat sauce is perfectly balanced—savory-sweet without being greasy. The key is how the sauce clings to every strand, letting you taste the rich zhajiang flavor in each bite.

Take a closer look at the noodles with chopsticks—the distinctive width and thickness of the hand-cut knife-shaved noodles allow them to absorb the sauce beautifully. The texture remains springy and chewy, perfectly blending with the thick zhajiang sauce. While chewing, the unique aroma of the noodles intertwines with the savory notes of the minced meat—truly unforgettable.

By Taipei price standards, "Siping Street Tomato Beef Noodles" offers very reasonable pricing, and each bowl of tomato beef noodles is generously portioned!

Besides the plentiful beef chunks, the knife-shaved noodles are also served with sincerity, guaranteeing a satisfying full feeling after eating! If you're simply looking for a warm, delicious bowl of beef noodles, Siping Street Tomato Beef Noodles is definitely a must-visit choice!
