I don't often go to bars, first because I don't like noisy spaces, second because I don't like drinking regular cocktails, but Isotope Bar completely meets my bar preferences: classical, elegant, innovative, comfortable! Isotope Bar uses the same elements but different methods to create unique flavored drinks; the drinks here are definitely not available in other bars!

Located near Taipei Main Station, Isotope Bar, from the exterior you can see the store's unique style, different from regular bars, Isotope Bar chooses Gothic design decoration, very suitable for a slightly tipsy night~
Walking into Isotope Bar, you will immediately be attracted by the colorful stained glass skylight! It's both beautiful and shocking, solemn and a bit mysterious, I really like the music played at Isotope Bar; before 10 PM, the music is waltz with comfortable melodies, light and relaxing, perfect for a after-work drink; after 10 PM, the music changes to organ and deeper tones, the lights dim, and the Gothic dome changes with the melody, the same venue feels different depending on the time, I love it very much!
The interior lighting is quite dim, with decorations in the style of medieval European castles, everywhere you can see careful and exquisite small designs: colored glass, arched shapes, Gothic dome, etc.~
The seats inside are mostly sofas, spacious and comfortable, very enjoyable for drinking and chatting~
There's also a super cute small booth! Just like a secret room in a European castle!
I also really like the bar counter seats, right under the Gothic dome, very dreamy!
Isotope Bar's inspiration comes from the diversity of chemical elements; isotopes refer to different kinds under a specific chemical element, because in chemistry, one element can produce different characteristics through different structures and compositions, so Isotope Bar's drinks are all made with the same elements but different methods, creating different unique flavors~
If you want to drink something special, you must order Isotope Bar's signature cocktails!
I think the most interesting thing is using the same base and the same ingredients, yet creating completely different textures, even making them into 'milkshake, bubbly spicy, sweet and sour' three different flavors; if you like to try things, you can order the same base with three different flavors to compare the differences!
Magpie Bridge / Mousse Cake
This drink is really too special! It's just like eating cake! This is a cocktail you can eat and drink at the same time!
Elements include whiskey, oolong tea, peanut puree, egg white, mascarpone cheese, coffee, pistachios, and fresh milk; my first sip I thought I was drinking milk tea, girls who like milk tea must order this! It's not too strong in alcohol, topped with pistachios, taking a bite feels like eating tiramisu, and sipping the full milky texture is really great~
Bloody Grudge / Salty Sweet
The owner said, this drink is like Bloody Mary but not quite, once you drink it, you can't go back, other places will feel weird~
Salty and sweet, very suitable for girls, elements include whiskey, popcorn, balsamic vinegar, and heirloom tomatoes; the thick texture is fresh and sweet without being stimulating, different from regular Bloody Mary, no celery stick as garnish, instead, it's topped with seared heirloom tomatoes, sour and sweet, really delicious!
Melon Vine Splendor / Sweet and Sour (the cup on the left)
This drink actually has bitter melon in it! Really too special!
Elements include cognac, vanilla, bitter melon, honey, and mint; it must be said there's a bit of bitterness, but it's not hard to drink, the first sip is the sweetness of honey, the mint aroma is very refreshing and smooth, but at the end, there's a faint bitter melon bitterness; this subtle combination isn't out of place at all, instead, it makes you want to take sip after sip, enjoying the bitter-sweet taste~
Mangzhong / Sweet and Sour
First time drinking scallion liquor!!
Previously on a business trip in Hualien, I kept encountering scallions, at that time I didn't like the taste of scallions, it felt like mosquito repellent (laugh)
This Mangzhong / Sweet and Sour drink has elements including scallions, tamarillo, rosemary, and mango; the first sip you can feel the sweet aroma of mango, no pungent scallion smell at all, gradually it brings in the aftertaste of rosemary, and finally gives me the fresh scent of scallions! The texture is very rich, I super like it, it takes the top spot today!
Truffle Fries
Drinking alcohol must come with some fried food! I super like these fries, they are very crispy, the dipping sauce is truffle house-made sauce, very rich! You can't stop at one bite~
Of course, finally, I have to take a beautiful Instagram-worthy photo~ I really like Isotope Bar's style and atmosphere, the cocktails are very special, friends who like challenges must come and try!
