🌟This restaurant is right nearby, I've passed by many times usually, but never gone in to eat. This time I really ate to the point where I didn't know what else to eat, and I've pretty much rotated through all the nearby regular spots, so finally thought might as well come try it, which counts as unlocking a new store.
🌟Originally wanted to order shrimp rolls when looking at the menu, but after asking found out they were sold out that day, so had to pick again on the spot. Finally ordered turkey rice, fish skin soup, fried tofu, braised egg, and also a char siu pork chop. When ordering it seemed okay, but after the dishes came one by one, realized the portions were much larger than expected, and the whole table was quickly filled up.
🌟The turkey rice has quite a bit of meat on top, not just a thin layer, so almost every bite of rice comes with meat. The overall flavor is on the lighter side, not too oily and no heavy seasoning, so people who usually prefer simpler tastes should be more used to it.
🌟The fish skin soup tastes somewhat sweet, different from the salty savory broths I usually drink, so it has its own distinctive style.
🌟The side dishes really make their presence felt; I thought the fried tofu and braised egg would be simple accompaniments, but when the plate arrived there was more than expected.
🌟The char siu pork chop is also very generous. With all the dishes combined, it's really challenging for one person. By the end it wasn't about whether it tasted good anymore, but doubting whether I could keep eating. In the end I really couldn't finish everything.
🌟The dine-in area isn't very big, but it has air conditioning, so it's quite convenient for eating alone. However after sitting for a while it gives the feeling of facing the wall reflecting on mistakes.
