It's that time again for the annual Penghu Fireworks Festival. Which one must I recommend for playing at the beach?!!
There are so many Penghu beaches; do you know which one is the most fun?
Besides the dreamy beach I introduced before, today I want to specially recommend this beach that I must play at when I come to Penghu.
That is the Shanshui Beach recommended by many people! In recent years, it seems there is also a Shanshui Highland nearby, right next to Shanshui Beach.
1. Scooter/Car: From Makung city center via Zhonghua Road, connect to County Road 204, at the intersection with County Road 201 (Xingren) turn right, proceed straight, to Suogang connect to Township Road Penghu 26, and you will arrive.
2. Bus information: Take the Shanshui line and Fenggui line buses and get off at Shanshui station.
After arriving at Shanshui Beach, at first glance, you see a vast ocean and golden yellow sandy beach.
If the weather is good enough, you can see the seawater in a blue crystal color.
This color of the sea is almost invisible on Taiwan's main island.
The best thing is that there are very few people here.
I remember the first time I came to Penghu, I played in the water, and the clarity of the water quality was really great.
Opposite Shanshui Beach is Shanshui Highland, which should be a newly built attraction in recent years.
In the evening, there are colorful lights, making it a great place for a night tour in Penghu; I'll write a special article later to introduce it.
I have to say, Penghu is really hot; you can play in the water in April when visiting Penghu.
It's not cold at all, especially seeing this such turquoise seawater, it makes you want to rush in and step in the water immediately.
We were just stepping in the water, but the nearby tourists had already brought their children to play in the water.
If you really want to play in the water, you don't have to wait until July or August; you can come during the April Penghu Fireworks Festival test event.
Another feature I particularly like about this beach is that their sand is very soft.
You can also pick up some fossilized coral or shells on the beach.
I really like Penghu's beaches; there are not too many voices and noises.
Only the quiet sound of waves crashing, closing your eyes and listening carefully is really relaxing.
Watching the waves in the distance crashing onto the beach one after another, it's really very Chill.
The only downside here is that there are relatively no shelters; if the weather is good, it's very sunny.
But this place is definitely worth coming to walk around; a special note is that there are no lifeguards here; we didn't see any.
Whether playing in the water or wading, you have to be very careful.
Just relax and enjoy the rare coastal scenery.
See the complete Penghu no inter-island 4 days 3 nights travel guide for lazy people; if you don't want to read, you can also listen.
We asked two hosts to professionally explain and introduce the D&W black and white duo Penghu lazy guide for each attraction; you can pair it with the article images to enjoy.
