I checked online and found out it's a super popular internet-famous store. Today I'm introducing "春山茶水鋪", the one that makes countless tea lovers willing to line up. This shop has over 1,700 Google Map reviews with a solid 4.5 rating, and is called "Taipei's strongest hand-shaken drink" by many bloggers and food lovers. Whether under the blazing sun or a cool afternoon, you can always see customers crowding the entrance. Today I finally had time to line up and try it myself to see if it's really that amazing.

Look at this queue scene. We visited on a holiday afternoon, and the entrance of 春山茶水鋪 was still packed with customers. From a distance you could see the constant flow of people. This really made me want to try it and see if it's really that impressive?
Up close, the shop is small but full of retro nostalgic vibes. Besides wooden decor and handwritten signs, you can spot old-school tea-grinding tools and vintage wooden cabinets that feel like stepping into an old Taiwanese tea house. Space inside is limited so the shop focuses on takeout, but there's a special waiting area at the entrance for a quick rest.
Staff are busy making one delicious drink after another. Despite the crowd, their pace is quite fast. Honestly, I got my drink in about 10 minutes.
The menu design at 春山茶水鋪 is simple and clear, but the font size is really tiny. You can't see the items unless you're right at the counter. Drinks are mainly divided into pure tea, blended tea, milk tea, fresh milk tea, and non-tea drinks. Their specialty is using high-quality tea leaves without tea essence, so every cup delivers the real aroma of the tea. Since it was my first visit, I ordered based on the ranking: Four Seasons Spring Oolong Tea and Black Tea Latte.
The interior isn't just great for drinks—the decor is full of clever details. We were really interested in the old furniture, especially the colorful traditional art pieces in the display cabinet with door god and paper-cutting patterns, giving the space a strong Eastern aesthetic and cultural feel. Suddenly I had some expectations for their teas~
Finally, the long-awaited "Four Seasons Spring Oolong Tea" arrived! The moment I held it, I felt the coolness from the cup—pure relief on a hot Taipei street.
I chose light sugar and less ice for this Four Seasons Spring Oolong Tea. The first sip hit me with a strong tea aroma that spread lightly in the mouth—surprisingly pleasant!
The unique mellow tea notes of oolong tea gradually emerged. It's amazing how 春山茶水鋪's oolong avoids the usual raw astringency and doesn't have the heavy feel of heavily roasted oolongs. The flavor is very balanced—rich but not bitter. The aftertaste is obvious and long-lasting, making you want sip after sip and it gets smoother the more you drink. The light sweetness feels just right, gently enhancing the tea's fragrance without overpowering it. Even friends who usually drink unsweetened tea should find the light sugar version very acceptable!
As for the Black Tea Latte, I really think it's just average. If you want to drink here, I'd suggest sticking to their pure teas. If everyone's recommending the latte... I'm going to have to disagree on this one.
"春山茶水鋪" attracts everyone with its unique old-school atmosphere and real-ingredient teas, especially the signature "Four Seasons Spring Oolong Tea", standing out in Taipei's competitive hand-shaken drink market. It's been a long time since I've had such a pure tea. If there was no queue, I could drink their tea every day, but lining up just for a NT$40 tea... I might as well brew it myself. But if you want to experience the charm of a local popular shop, this definitely won't disappoint you.
