Universal Studios sees 20,000~50,000 visitors daily, and waiting for a single attraction can often take 3~4 hours. This has led to various ticket options, including early entry tickets, regular tickets, Express Passes for 4.5.7 hours, and the top-tier VIP3.5.8 private guided tours.

This time, we used our spending power to buy time, determined to experience every attraction at Universal Studios and not stop until we had tried them all.

Even with VIP access, we still had to go through security, so we arrived an hour early.

The VIP queue was short, and the waiting area was air-conditioned. August in Japan is scorching at 37-38°C, so waiting in the cool room was truly comfortable. From the front row, we could also watch the park entry performance.

It was funny when we entered. I remember the first time we came, everyone was speed-walking like it was a race, and staff kept telling people not to run. This time, we strolled leisurely among the rushing crowd and felt especially happy.

The guide first took us to the VIP lounge.

It had comfortable sofas and restrooms.

There was also a sofa bed, perfect for our large group.

Unlimited coffee machine.

Unlimited drinks and tea.

When we returned to the lounge midway, we noticed someone working on a laptop the whole time. What a waste—paying for VIP just to work here.

After discussing with the concierge and reviewing the itinerary, we all agreed to head to the Mario area first.

Visiting again, we were still amazed by the dreamy game-like scenery. This year they added a new area—Donkey Kong.

This time, we used the secret direct-access path.

It felt super fun, and people with Express Passes were wondering how we could go straight in without any wait.

During the visit, we could take photos with Princess Peach, the plumber, Mario, and others without queuing.

Later we went to the Harry Potter area. The concierge also bought us Butterbeer for us—super sweet, only a few sips each.

We watched the wand show and saw the wall full of wand gift boxes.

Friends who wanted to buy became the chosen ones, selected by the wand as its master—such an atmospheric moment.

Even for the parade, there was a dedicated VIP area so we didn’t have to squeeze with the crowd and had a great view of the performance.

Total: 14 rides! With regular queuing, it would probably take 3-4 days.

The VIP8 experience was truly worth every penny. We could ride as much as we wanted without waiting. The joy level was so much higher than waiting 3-4 hours for a 2-3 minute ride. After the 8 hours ended, if we still wanted to ride more, the wristband also allowed Express access.

Afterward, the concierge gave us VIP coupons for 3,500 yen off in the park and to play mini-games. I bought a cute Minion—super kawaii.
