#CommonalityFoundation The main purpose of slow practice
Feel the inertia of the body
Create inertia without using a lot of acceleration
The basic method of slow practice
The slow practice method of Five Elements Fist is generally the same, usually using *stepping over* for practice.
Requirements during practice:
- During the process, try not to use too fast acceleration
- Complete the movement by following the center of gravity shift
- At the moment of landing, simultaneously incorporate the waist and hips
- Exerting force is not just straight forward, but also includes the lateral rotation of the body's axis
- In the last instant, feel the force reach the **striking point**, called **'feng'
'Feng' and the quality of movement
- If you can clearly grasp the inertia transmitted to the striking point, it means **the quality of movement is high enough**
- This is a very basic concept in the system, and also a prerequisite for further achieving **'out tail'**
- The core of slow practice lies in: **using smaller acceleration to feel, build, and integrate the whole body's inertia**
- Through stepping over, you can more clearly experience how inertia is transmitted to the striking point
- The ultimate goal is to achieve **out tail**, allowing the force to truly reach the end, and improve the overall quality of martial arts movement
