I super love eating Yangmingshan Vegetable Garden finally willing to operate in the urban area! Although this store has been open for a while, only recently did I really have the chance to dine
This third-generation operated branch mainly focuses on takeout, with only one table for dine-in, and fewer items for sale
Mainly selling free-range poached chicken, bamboo shoot chicken soup, peeled chili chicken soup, bamboo shoots, fresh milk steamed buns and these items
If you want to eat mountain vegetables, river shrimps, or fresh fish, you still have to go to Yangmingshan to eat them, but as long as I have chicken to eat, I'm satisfied

This store, in my opinion, is a bit hard to reach without public transportation; the fastest way might be to take the shuttle from Daya Takashimaya near the MRT station
From Daya Takashimaya, walking over takes about 5 minutes to arrive
At first, I really didn't know what the connection was between this store name and Yangmingshan's Vegetable Garden, until I saw online that it's operated by the third generation of Vegetable Garden
Originally, I came with half doubts, but until I tasted the free-range poached chicken and it tasted the same as the one on the mountain, I felt relieved to recommend it!
Basically, this place is mostly for takeout, remember to call ahead if you want to buy chicken; although we dined in, but later we secretly took out two halves of chicken
After buying, it was just sold out, and I saw at least 5 groups of customers come for nothing
I don't know why, even though there are only two tables inside the store, really not many customers choose to dine in; you can book dine-in right away
Besides our family, the other table of guests were Japanese, and the boss lady is also very impressive, able to communicate fluently in Japanese
Ever since I ate it once at Vegetable Garden on Yangmingshan before, I've been thinking about their free-range poached chicken
Very often when I go to Zhuzihu in Yangmingshan, I want to eat it once, but driving to Zhuzihu is still a distance and might encounter traffic jams
Sometimes I really want to eat it so I specially drive up, now that I can buy it directly in Tianmu Shilin area, I really envy the people in Tianmu
呷雞拉's poached chicken is the same as Vegetable Garden on the mountain, not a single piece of chicken meat is dry and tough!!
Even the least flavorful and juiciest chicken breast can be handled to be fresh, tender, and juicy; I don't know why their chicken skin tastes exceptionally fresh, sweet, and tender
Basically, it's delicious even without sauce; every part of the chicken meat is quite fresh and tender, really, once you eat it, you'll fall in love
The part near the chicken leg meat is even more Q tender with a chewy texture
And the aroma of the chicken fat is even more sweet and delicious; one bite really makes you feel full of happiness
The bamboo shoots from the mountain become crispy and bouncy after cooking; although I don't love braised bamboo shoots that much
But this one is really good, the bamboo shoots have absorbed the soup fully, not too dry and hard to bite
People with poor chewing ability can eat it with peace of mind
It's strange to say, they look like ordinary steamed buns, but I don't know why the steamed buns sold on Yangmingshan taste especially good
They don't taste as dry as those sold in regular breakfast shops, and the texture is QQ and great, very suitable for takeout
Although the sweet potato soup was sold out that day, the boss lady who is strong in Japanese still invited us to drink a big pot of ginger sweet potato soup

It made us not afraid of the cold wave when we visited that day; after drinking, our bodies felt warm and really comfortable
I can only say I really envy the people in Shilin Tianmu; even the free-range poached chicken from Yangmingshan can be bought nearby
It really makes me jealous as a New Taipei person; even if we want to buy it, we have to drive at least half an hour to get it
Their poached chicken is really super delicious, highly recommend trying it
