Yilan's "Yujian Private Kitchen" beef noodles are a local famous queuing delicacy, with many people driving here specifically for a bowl of their braised beef noodles. Although "Yujian Private Kitchen" has an unassuming exterior, its warm, homey decor gives a feeling of dining at a friend's house; what truly makes "Yujian Private Kitchen" worth visiting is not its appearance, but the chef's unique palate.

The chef has over 10 years of experience in five-star hotels and was once introduced as a chef at the Crystal Palace Hotel. Bringing skills from grand hotels into this small shop, the cuisine lets you experience a grand style in a small space.

This time in Yilan, we decided to try it ourselves and see what makes this "artisan beef noodles" crafted by a hotel chef different.

Upon entering "Yujian Private Kitchen," the contrasting pink accents and wooden tones create a literary, artistic space with personality. Even while waiting for a seat, it offers a unique feeling that heightens expectations for "Yujian Private Kitchen"!

Yujian Private Kitchen Menu

This is Dong and William's first visit to "Yujian Private Kitchen." We planned to go straight for their beef noodles. Although Yilan has many beef noodle options, what particularly interests me about "Yujian Private Kitchen" is the chef's past experience in five-star hotel cuisine, yet choosing to apply those skills to a seemingly simple bowl of beef noodles.

The shop offers many beef noodle choices. This time, we directly ordered the two we most wanted: the Three Treasures Beef Noodles and the Half Tendon Half Meat Noodles.

Beef Noodles Served! Plenty of Meat, Delicious Flavor, Aroma Hits the Nose

Yujian Private Kitchen beef noodles are served, with a deep amber braised color that visually stimulates the appetite.

Just seeing these two bowls of beef noodles lined up is already imposing! The left bowl is the Half Tendon Half Meat Noodles with thin noodles, paired with stewed tender beef chunks, aroma wafting! The right bowl is William's choice with wide noodles, including tripe and tendon—irresistible! Both bowls steaming hot, aroma rushing to the head. Beside them, we prepared the shop's special chili sauce, full of temptation! This scene is simply a foodie's dream.

Half Tendon Half Meat Noodles with Thin Noodles

The broth has a deep color with an inviting sheen, clearly the essence of long simmering. The white porcelain petal design on the bowl rim makes this bowl look more refined. The green scallions and small cauliflower florets on top not only add color but also a refreshing texture.

The broth is not as thick as it appears visually; instead, it's full of sweetness! Not oily, not greasy, no excessive spiciness, surprisingly clear, but after eating for a while, it feels a bit salty. Overall, I love the beef more than the broth!

Beef That Melts in the Mouth

Look at this piece of beef! Gently lifted by chopsticks, its substantial weight and firm meat texture are fully revealed before the camera. Perfectly soaked in rich broth, deep inviting color, full of just-right stewed juices. The chunk size is generous, super satisfying to bite into, plus soft and melts in the mouth—truly mouthwatering.

Not to mention the tendon!

Even softer, almost melting into liquid! The mouth fills with meat broth, truly captivating!

Those golden noodles absorb the essence of the broth in every bite. Those who like sweet broth will definitely enjoy it.

Taste All Delights in One Go! Three Treasures Noodles

Besides beef chunks, the Three Treasures Noodles clearly show large pieces of tripe and tendon floating in the broth. Green cauliflower florets also adorn it, adding visual richness. This mixed beef noodle satisfies different textures in one bowl—perfect for the indecisive!

Ta-da! This is the tripe itself! Its unique honeycomb structure proves its strong ability to absorb broth. Stewed to full flavor yet retaining a bouncy chew. When bitten, the broth-infused tripe bursts with rich aroma in the mouth, layered texture—lovers of offal will adore it!

This shiny piece is the tendon! It has a translucent amber color, crystal clear, clearly stewed to extreme tenderness! Melts in the mouth with full gelatinous texture, mellow flavor. This texture is addictive, and full of collagen— a rare delicacy for beauty lovers!

The tendon beef also leaves you wanting more. The soft meat and almost-melting tendon satisfy two textures at once—truly comfortable!

This bowl we paired with wide noodles, which are softer than the expected chewy wide noodles, a slight disappointment~

CP Value Analysis: High-Scoring Beef Noodle Experience

You might think "private kitchen" sounds upscale and expensive, but "Yujian Private Kitchen" has reasonable prices with excellent beef texture.

The broth has a unique simmered flavor, but the beef is impressive! Enjoying each piece of meat in air-conditioned comfort—if you love meat, give it a try.
