Home-style Clay Pot Porridge ~ Delicious 麟粥宮
Visited 麟粥宮 in Kaohsiung, a place specializing in porridge. The name is super fun—its pronunciation sounds like Lin Zu Gong, leaving a deep impression with its eye-catching big red sign.
The interior decor has an antique charm, giving the feeling of dining like ancient royalty and nobles.
The hanging lamps above and the partitions between tables are all quite unique.
麟粥宮 specializes in Chaoshan-style clay pot porridge, paired with live seafood cooked fresh on the spot—every sip is full of freshness.
Every porridge looks delicious, each made with different seafood. In the end, we chose the Abalone Free-range Chicken Pot and the Giant Grouper Scallop Porridge.
Before the dishes arrived, there were sweet and sour appetizers on the table.
Water and drinks are available.
Exquisitely plated pineapple shrimp balls.
Delicious salted egg yolk tofu.
Fried taro shreds and sweet potato shreds—crispy like snacks.
Stir-fried shredded pork with vegetables.
Cherry shrimp with cabbage—pairs wonderfully.
Stir-fried water spinach.
All the dishes are served. The highlight—the Abalone Free-range Chicken Pot—is here too, served with green onions, celery, and other seasonings.
The porridge itself is loaded with ingredients, featuring both abalone and free-range chicken.
The Giant Grouper Scallop Porridge is also delicious—each porridge has its own unique flavor.
Ordering this spread, enjoying porridge with sides—truly satisfying.
For dessert, we ordered fried ice cream. It tastes so special—crispy fried bread on the outside, ice cream inside. Really delicious, I could eat several at once.
