Universal VIP8 Private Itinerary ~ Lunch Chapter: Kinopio Coffee Shop
In the morning, we spent most of our time in the Mario area, riding Donkey Kong twice and Mario Kart twice.
We also went to the souvenir shop for a big shopping spree. This year marks Universal's 25th anniversary, and they launched a colorful glowing Super Star popcorn bucket.
Kinopio Coffee Shop had the butler help reserve our lunch time slot. Although we still had to queue, having someone arrange it made the process much smoother and we didn't wait long.
The Mushroom Restaurant is really adorable, full of childlike charm.
The process also includes Chinese translation.
Outside, the queue was packed with people, and inside was also full of diners.
The staff led us to a large round table, so cute.
The food came out quickly; they push it over on a serving cart.
We shared an Invincible Star 25th Anniversary Platter. The plating was super adorable—the Super Star was a steamed bun, along with mushroom lasagna and more. The food was also very delicious.
The dishes even came with little Mario flags stuck in them; collecting these as souvenirs has great commemorative value.
I ordered Yoshi's spaghetti—the turtle shape was so cute, though it got a bit salty toward the end.
Bowser's Hamburger Steak Royale can be paired with rice or bread; switching to bread was great and saved a lot of stomach space.
The kids' meal was also super cute, with adorable square shapes.
The green salad and omelette rice were delicious too.
Saw the two beauties at the next table—they kept taking photos from when we were waiting for our food until we finished eating. Their meals got cold. Their figures were amazing, but it felt like they were only there to take pictures, not to eat. Turns out girls with great figures saying they eat a lot is indeed a lie.
I think the dishes aren't just photogenic—they're actually quite tasty too. Many themed restaurants are only good for photos and look appealing, but the taste is mediocre. The food here is definitely above a certain standard.
