【Bangkok Food】Must-eat at Victory Monument 「Baan Kuay Tiew Ruathong」 Pink Uniform Golden Boat Noodles! One bowl only 20 Baht, challenging to stack bowl tower is super addictive!

When traveling to Bangkok, Thailand, you absolutely cannot miss the local street food—Thai Boat Noodles! Located near BTS Victory Monument station, the “Boat Noodle Street” gathers many famous boat noodle shops, among which the most popular and bustling one is Baan Kuay Tiew Ruathong(บ้านก๋วยเตี๋ยวเรือทอง, commonly known as Golden Boat Noodles/Pink Boat Noodles)!

This shop is marked by staff wearing bright pink uniforms and specializes in affordable small bowls of boat noodles at only 20 Thai Baht each. Ordering a dozen bowls at once and experiencing the fun of “stacking bowl towers” after eating is definitely a must-do Instagram-worthy activity for independent travelers in Bangkok!

Instagram-worthy Storefront and Insanely Crowded Atmosphere

Just a few minutes’ walk from BTS Victory Monument station, along the canal to Boat Noodle Street, you can spot the grand, Thai-style wooden facade of Baan Kuay Tiew Ruathong from afar.

Crowds and Lively Atmosphere: Inside the shop, whether during off-peak or peak hours, it’s always packed with local Thai foodies and international tourists! Wooden tables and chairs are stacked high with empty bowls, steam rises, laughter fills the air, and the atmosphere is highly infectious.

Open Kitchen Counter: Right at the entrance is the open noodle-cooking area, where staff in pink uniforms swiftly grab noodles, blanch meat, and pour rich broth with incredibly smooth movements. Just watching makes your stomach rumble!

Must-Order Food Review: From Authentic Boat Noodles to Thai Desserts

The portions here are designed as traditional small boat noodle bowls—about two or three bites per bowl—perfect for foodies who want to try multiple flavors at once!

Note: Since dishes are served almost all at once, some of my dish names and photos may not match. Please understand!

Pork Boat Noodles

Rich Chinese herbal and pork blood broth with natural sweetness and a hint of spice aroma. Thin rice noodles soaked in the broth paired with tender pork slices and meatballs— one sip of the broth is incredibly fragrant!

Dry Pork Noodles

For those who don’t like hot soup, the dry noodles are a must! Tossed with special Thai sauce, crushed peanuts, fried garlic, and chili, the aroma is layered and the slightly spicy-sweet taste is addictive.

Beef Boat Noodles

Beef boat noodles are the shop’s signature! Deep beef aroma with a touch of spice, paired with fresh beef slices and broth-soaked noodles—outstanding flavor layers.

Dry Beef Noodles

The dry version highlights the natural beef aroma and the chewy texture of the noodles, topped with plenty of cilantro and green onions—full of Thai street-food character.

Crispy Pork Skin

Absolutely the perfect companion to boat noodles! Golden, crispy fried pork skin is crunchy on its own; after soaking briefly in the rich beef or pork broth, it becomes half-soft, half-crisp—simply heavenly!

Special Shrimp Wontons / Dumplings

Thin, translucent skin with solid, delicious filling, drizzled with fragrant fried garlic and special sweet-sour-spicy sauce. Every bite delivers the sweet freshness of shrimp— a very competent side dish.

💡 Conclusion & Overall Review

Overall, I think the seasoning is very aromatic, but for us who usually eat little spice, it was quite a challenge—especially the kids who barely took one bite. Not sure if requesting less spice when ordering would help?? So I personally ate more than 3 bowls myself. The shrimp wontons and crispy pork skin were very popular, and the Thai milk tea and ice cream were finished in no time. Plus the price is very affordable—definitely worth trying if you come to Bangkok!!!
