If you like a slow pace and savoring every moment of your trip,
We recommend this resort hotel in Miyagi Prefecture🔽
Miyagi Onikoube Resort Park Hotel, a European-style castle resort surrounded by mountains,
Put down your backpack and head to the backyard, where a vast green hillside awaits. The evening air feels especially fresh.
Dinner features exquisite kaiseki cuisine; the pot on the left contains Sendai's specialty beef tongue.
After finishing your meal, browse the shop and happen to meet a hotel staff member from Taiwan.
She tells us that after buying marshmallows at the shop, you can borrow an iron fork from the front desk—
and you don't even have to wash it yourself!
So after buying them, we head to the newly renovated semi-outdoor cypress bathhouse. Breathing in the scent of cypress, we gaze at the cherry blossom tree visible through the openwork ceiling. The fallen petals form a pink carpet outside the bath. Though already somewhat sparse, we can't help but imagine the breathtaking sight when the cherry blossoms are in full bloom—utterly romantic.
The next morning, we happily enjoy breakfast at the buffet in the European-style dining room, gazing out at the fresh greenery beyond the window. It feels like this is all there is to life, and we quietly make a wish to return someday.
