Our Xiamen Fuzhou trip Day 5, we took the high-speed rail from Fuzhou back to Xiamen and stayed at a seaview homestay near Zengcuo'an that night. Zengcuo'an is a popular area many travelers to Xiamen choose to stay in. It offers not only sea views but also plenty of snacks, delicious food, and lively streets—perfect for spending a night and experiencing a travel vibe different from the city center.
This time we stayed at "MokaHouse Seaview Resort Homestay." The overall accommodation experience was more comfortable than expected. The room was clean and stylish, and the surrounding area had good amenities—walking distance to the beach and Zengcuo'an commercial district.
MokaHouse is located in the Zengshan area of Zengcuo'an, Siming District, Xiamen, not far from the Zengcuo'an commercial district and the beach. This area is a popular tourist accommodation spot in Xiamen, with many homestays, cafés, and snack shops nearby.
Transportation is quite convenient. The bus network nearby is well-developed, with stops such as Zengcuo'an Homestay Village Station, Zengshan Station, Taiqing Palace Station, and Zengcuo'an Station. You can transfer to multiple bus routes including B8, J103, Egret Island Sightseeing Tour Line 1, and Route 48. Getting to Xiamen University, Nanputuo Temple, or Zhongshan Road Pedestrian Street is very easy.
We took a taxi directly. Taxis in Xiamen are convenient and inexpensive.

MokaHouse features a simple, fresh style with white-toned architecture and resort-inspired elements, creating a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere.
We stayed in the "Sunshine Bathtub Projection King Room." Upon entering, the first impression was brightness. The decor is mainly white, paired with soft lighting and minimalist furnishings, giving it a Korean-style homestay feel.
The room was comfortable for two people, with all basic amenities. The standout feature is the bathtub placed directly in the room, adding a vacation vibe. The homestay also provides disposable bathtub liners for peace of mind.
After walking all day, soaking in the tub felt truly relaxing.
Remember to download WeChat before checking in! There was a small incident during our stay that we'd like to remind everyone about. Many homestays in China don't have 24-hour front desks like hotels, and these types often use self check-in via WeChat. Upon arrival, you need to contact staff via WeChat.
We hadn't downloaded WeChat in Taiwan beforehand, so we couldn't reach the host at all upon arrival. Fortunately, a kind Chinese traveler helped us contact them, and we finally checked in smoothly.
We highly recommend downloading and setting up WeChat before traveling independently in China—it makes everything much easier!
The bathroom has a wet-dry separation design and comes with toiletries; shower gel and shampoo are in large bottles.
After checking in, we took a walk along the nearby beach. Unfortunately, it was windy that day, so photos didn't turn out great and there were quite a few people. Still, strolling along the shore and watching the waves was very relaxing.
Zengcuo'an has plenty of local snacks and food. That evening we headed straight to the Zengcuo'an commercial district to eat. The whole street was lively, with all kinds of snacks, seafood, drink shops, and dessert places—perfect for eating while walking.
The next day after checkout, since the homestay doesn't provide breakfast, we went to a nearby spot in Zengcuo'an for breakfast and chose "Xiamen Shacha Noodles."
We ordered a classic bowl of Shacha noodles and a bowl of century egg and lean pork congee to warm the stomach. Xiamen's Shacha noodles are quite different from what we usually eat in Taiwan—the broth is extremely rich, with a strong peanut aroma and layers of slight sweetness and spiciness. The oil noodles soaked in the broth, paired with abundant toppings, were incredibly satisfying! The century egg and lean pork congee was also excellent—perfect for a morning bowl.
Our stay at MokaHouse Seaview Resort Homestay was overall quite pleasant. Though not a luxurious hotel, the room was clean and comfortable, and we got to experience the unique travel atmosphere of Zengcuo'an.
If you're visiting Xiamen and want accommodation close to the beach with plenty of food nearby, consider the Zengcuo'an area.
