This 龍來旺小館, after eating here last time I couldn't stop thinking about it,
So this time when I had the chance I came again~~
The Chinese-style interior is very retro, perfect for group meals
The seafood here is priced by market value. Everything is listed on the blackboard, very transparent
The fresh fish of the day is all in the tanks, available until sold out
Self-service white rice and lemon tea, you can help yourself
The menu hasn't changed much, everything feels delicious1. Lai Wang Matsusaka Pork: NT$320
The Matsusaka pork has a slightly crisp yet bouncy texture, the meat quality is excellent,
Paired with some Taiwanese-style garlic soy sauce and crisp onions, very appetizing
2. Ghost Horse Beef: NT$320
This dish mainly features beef paired with deep-fried youtiao
The cooking style is more like Taiwanese combined with Hong Kong style
The beef is first stir-fried over high heat to reduce the sauce, then mixed with a strong-flavored soy sauce along with youtiao and water chestnuts
The youtiao is crispy, water chestnuts are refreshing and crisp, beef is tender, multiple textures in one bite
A more adult-oriented dish3. Stir-Fried Clams: NT$150
As always, their clams are extremely fresh and large, with generous portions
Seasoned only with a bit of garlic and Thai basil, a very authentic Taiwanese stir-fry
Adults and kids all love it,
4. Blanched Shrimp: NT$250
The shrimp is very fresh, super easy to peel,
The fresher the shrimp, the sweeter it is, delicious even eaten plain5. Zhu Gan: NT$300
This is also a limited seafood item for the day
Zhu Gan is a relatively rare crustacean, commonly seen in Hong Kong-style restaurants
The meat is delicate with good bounce
The restaurant uses quick stir-frying to retain the fresh sweetness of the seafood without overcooking it, very tasty
Paired with a bit of chili, goes great with rice,
6. Nibble Corn: NT$200
You definitely have to order the nibble corn
The corn is sweet, paired with the house special pepper, you'll keep eating and can't stop
7. Like Glue Like Lacquer: NT$260
This Like Glue Like Lacquer dish caught my eye because of its unique name, so I ordered it to try
It features plenty of Q-bouncy pork tendons paired with some cabbage and meat slices
The pork tendons are well-prepared, both chewy and tender,
Braised in soy sauce, super rice-accompanying,
8. Clam Soup: NT$150
The clam soup is also very fresh and flavorful, because each clam is fresh and large
Seasoned simply with ginger strips
The restaurant adds plenty of chopped green onions, making it even more fragrant9. Stir-Fried Water Spinach: NT$150
Their water spinach uses onsen variety, so the stems are thick,
But not tough, very crisp, 11. Steamed Red Coat: NT$850
龍來旺's seafood is all very fresh, red coat fish has few bones, the meat is very tender
Steaming it is delicious enough, you can taste the fresh sweetness of the fish meat, with a fine and delicate texture
This 龍來旺小館 really has no misses on the menu
