For our summer Kaohsiung mini trip, we stayed at 「福容徠旅高雄」. Not only was the transportation convenient, but the room design and accommodation atmosphere left a deep impression on us. Especially when the kids opened the door and saw the ceiling full of shark plush toys, they immediately shouted excitedly, “This room is so cute!”
For families traveling with children, besides convenient location, room size and comfort are also very important. The Sharky Room at 福容徠旅高雄 not only offers spacious space but also a living room lounge area, a small bar counter, and IKEA-themed design, giving it more of a homey feel than a regular hotel.
福容徠旅高雄 is located in Qianjin District. From Exit 4 of Kaohsiung MRT Qianjin Station, it’s only about a 3-minute walk to the hotel! If taking the high-speed rail to Zuoying Station or coming from Siaogang International Airport, it’s only about 20 minutes by taxi. For those driving, the hotel also provides underground parking.
Besides convenient transportation, the surrounding amenities are excellent too. There are many restaurants nearby, and if you want to visit a night market in the evening, you can walk to the Liuhe Tourist Night Market for food. If you prefer cultural or scenic routes like the Love River, True Love Pier, Pier-2 Art Center, Dagang Bridge, Sizihwan, Cijin, or the recently popular Totoro Tunnel (Neiwei Arts Center), Fongshan Fongyi Tutorial Academy, Huangpu New Village, or even the romantic gondola ride experience, they’re all within a short drive.

The check-in process was very quick, and the staff were friendly. After completing check-in, there are some quality selected items and local specialty products displayed in the lobby area that you can browse if interested.
Everyone is familiar with Fullon Hotels, and 「福容徠旅」 is their younger brand focusing on convenience, eco-friendliness, culture, innovation, and vitality, with the core philosophy “Travelling For Better Life.”
Currently, besides Kaohsiung, there are also locations in Linkou, Zhongli, Shuili, Kenting, and Penghu, making it great for connecting trips around the island.
The hotel also thoughtfully provides luggage storage service. Check-in is at 4 PM, so if you arrive early, you can store your luggage first and head out, making your itinerary much more relaxed!
After check-in, we went directly to the 16th floor to enjoy the welcome tea and snacks. The hotel provides free welcome snacks and drinks from 1 PM to 10 PM.
After driving or a full day of activities, sitting down for tea and snacks before resting in the room feels especially pleasant.
The Sharky Room we stayed in is on the 15th floor. As soon as we stepped out of the elevator, a whole row of uniformed sharks sitting on a bench warmly welcomed us! Paired with bright yellow walls and lush green plants, it’s visually striking and perfect for photos.
福容徠旅高雄 has a total of 172 minimalist guest rooms, mainly divided into standard rooms and the popular IKEA-themed rooms, catering to families, friends, couples, or business travelers.
Upon entering the Sharky Room, everyone let out a gasp of surprise! The ceiling is covered with 3D shark and marine life plush toys, plus a giant octopus pillow on the living room sofa, making it feel like entering an underwater world—full of childlike fun!
The room is spacious and comfortable, with two medium-sized beds. The mattresses and pillows provide excellent support, making for a very comfortable sleep.
The room also includes a large sofa, coffee table, and business desk—perfect for late-night chats and snacks on the sofa or opening a laptop to work. It gives a warm, home-like feeling of comfort and ease.
The room also features a home-like wet bar area with a sink, hot and cold water kettle, cups, refrigerator, tea bags, welcome snacks, and drinks. I really like the wet bar design—it’s especially convenient to use.
In response to eco-friendly and plastic-reduction efforts, no single-use bottled mineral water is provided! However, each floor has water dispensers in common areas, so guests can use their own bottles or fill up using the room kettle.
The room has large glass windows with excellent natural light! Pulling back the curtains reveals a full view of Kaohsiung city streets, with the iconic 85 Sky Tower visible in the distance.
The bathroom features a wet-dry separation design, clean and comfortable overall. Gray marble-patterned tiles paired with a quality wood countertop give it a luxurious yet cozy look.
It includes a bidet toilet, with a hairdryer and storage space under the counter. The shower provides ample hot water with strong water pressure.
The gym and self-service laundry room are located on the 16th floor, open from 07:00–22:00.
The gym is spacious and bright with great natural light, equipped with treadmills, rowing machines, and other fitness equipment—perfect for maintaining your workout routine while traveling.
The self-service laundry room is especially valuable for longer trips. In summer, exploring Kaohsiung can mean a surprising amount of sweat, so having laundry facilities makes things much more convenient.
The next morning’s breakfast was enjoyed on the 16th floor restaurant. The restaurant features large floor-to-ceiling windows with excellent lighting, allowing guests to enjoy the sunshine while overlooking Kaohsiung’s cityscape and leisurely savoring their meal.
The buffet breakfast includes fresh vegetable salad, seasonal fruits, hot dishes, bread, congee, fried items, coffee, and beverages—both Chinese and Western styles—providing rich nutrition to energize you for the whole day!
In addition to the abundant self-serve buffet options, each guest also receives a freshly made GC French Bakery collab croissant sandwich!
There are four choices: Fresh Veggie Cheese Egg, Smoked Beef Cheese, Tuna Fresh Veggie, and Deluxe Beef Cheese. The flaky croissant paired with delicious fillings is incredibly satisfying.
This stay at 福容徠旅高雄 was truly delightful—convenient transportation, plenty of nearby food options, easy access to all major Kaohsiung attractions, and the Sharky Room that kids love while adults enjoy the spacious, comfortable space.
Whether visiting Kaohsiung for sightseeing, a family trip, or seeking high-quality accommodation, 福容徠旅高雄 is an excellent choice!
