Changhua Zhongxing Village / Taiwan Cocoa Chocolate Selection Store, Afternoon Tea

Changhua Zhongxing Village Military Dependents' Cultural Park, a military dependents' village carrying historical memories, has been transforming into a local base full of cultural and creative energy under the careful revitalization of the Changhua County Government in recent years. Currently, some spaces in the park were opened to the public in June 2026, entering the trial operation stage, and it is expected that by the end of 2026, the entire park will be fully operational. At that time, visitors will be able to experience a variety of rich content including specialty dining, independent cultural and creative brands, and even immersive military dependents' village accommodations, injecting new vitality into this land.

Opposite the "Zhongxing Village Story Hall" in the park stands a red brick building currently occupied by the "Amberra Chocolate" brand. Amberra Chocolate is a Taiwan cocoa chocolate selection store. In addition to carefully selecting and selling various chocolate products made from local Taiwanese cocoa, the store also offers drinks, desserts, and ice cream, providing travelers with a space to rest and savor beautiful moments while exploring the military dependents' village culture.

Amberra Chocolate's building features a red brick structure, but the wall at the main entrance is adorned with large areas of white and soft pinkish warm tones, creating an elegant and fresh feel.

Inside Amberra Chocolate, a carefully arranged product display area continues the pink theme. This area mainly showcases the brand's unique skincare line, which features natural and gentle products made by extracting cocoa butter combined with various plant-based ingredients, such as Cocoa Antibacterial Hand Cream, Cocoa Lip Balm, Cocoa Bean Essence Beauty Oil, Natural Cocoa Lip Balm, Cocoa Rose Pure Hydrosol Cleansing Mousse, Cocoa Soothing Cream, and more.

Amberra Chocolate's dining space is designed in a "light, fresh, retro style," perfectly blending this historic architecture with modern café aesthetics to provide travelers with a comfortable space to enjoy afternoon tea.

Next to the dining area, another product display focuses on high-quality chocolates from a premium cocoa estate in Pingtung, including various pure dark chocolate tempering buttons and a variety of uniquely flavored chocolate products—from classic nuts and sunny orange notes to romantic rose flavors and surprising wasabi. Each has been carefully crafted to showcase the purest and most diverse charm of cocoa. Additionally, there are tea bags made from cocoa nibs, offering another way to enjoy cocoa.

Amberra Chocolate's menu focuses on a variety of cocoa drinks, blending cocoa with coffee, tea, milk, or pudding to create unique drinking experiences. These drinks are priced approximately between NT$120 and NT$180. The menu also features six flavors of soft-serve ice cream: Madagascar Vanilla Bean, Red Sleeve Fruit Strawberry, Maya Cocoa Chocolate, Japanese Kyoto Matcha, Aiwen Mango, and refreshing Hami Melon. For desserts, availability is on-site; common menu items include delicate chocolate chiffon cake, rich and dense brownies, layered classic tiramisu, and Dubai chocolate.

Since the visit was during Amberra Chocolate's early trial operation period, the store was not yet serving drinks, so I purchased a soft-serve ice cream to enjoy on-site. Next time I visit Zhongxing Village Military Dependents' Cultural Park, I would like to try their signature cocoa drinks.
