Siraya National Scenic Area Visitor Center, Mountain Castle beside Provincial Highway 3

In Zhongpu Township, Chiayi County, a "castle in the mountains" located beside the northern entrance of Siraya National Scenic Area features unique pure white exterior walls and striking orange-red tower tops, outlining a touch of childlike fun and dreamy colors amidst the mountain forests. This building, named "Zhongpu Visitor Center," sits beside Provincial Highway 3 and serves as a resting spot for travelers to obtain tourism information.

The former Zhongpu Visitor Center was a kindergarten. After careful renovation, the pure white walls create a bright and clean visual feel, highlighting the passionate and eye-catching orange-red on the roof. The tower top design is ingenious, resembling a guardian from a fairy tale overlooking the surrounding natural scenery.

Above the uniquely shaped arch of the visitor center hangs a giant ice cream installation art piece. Its vibrant colors and sweet imagery add playful fun and joy to the overall atmosphere, making it an excellent photo spot. At the main entrance, another welcoming sight is the cute Q-version mascot "Oh Bear" from the Tourism Administration, Ministry of Transportation and Communications, warmly greeting every visitor.

Besides the eye-catching castle main structure, the visitor center grounds feature many colorful and cute installations. For example, the "Jiaozhi Jiannian Art Wall" depicts children playing with local wildlife such as Taiwan black bears, monkeys, wild boars, and clouded leopards in a frozen "1-2-3, wooden man" game moment, full of vitality and showcasing harmony between humans and nature. These installations, in both color usage and theme, center on "childlike fun," inviting visitors to pause and admire.

In addition, to echo local characteristics, the grounds also feature Q-version rhinoceros beetle figures. As a representative insect of Taiwan's mountain forests, its resilient and beautiful image is transformed into cute artwork here, strengthening the connection to local industry and ecology, allowing visitors to feel the natural pulse of Zhongpu Township while enjoying the scenery.

Additionally, the official Q-version mascots of Siraya National Scenic Area, "Shayun" and "Dakalang," are also popular photo spots. These cute characters interact with visitors in lively poses, adding endless fun to the journey.

A walkway is designed around the visitor center building. Following the path upward, visitors can stroll to a scenic viewpoint halfway up the hill. Looking back from above, the full majestic view of the entire "mountain castle" can be taken in, offering the joy of appreciating this unique architecture from different angles.

The interior space of Zhongpu Visitor Center is not large. It is designed as an important resting place for visitors and provides professional tourism consultation services to help visitors learn about the rich attractions and itinerary planning of Siraya National Scenic Area. It also thoughtfully includes a "Parent-Child Reading Room," offering a comfortable reading and resting space for families with children.
