🌟This time we visited a shabu-shabu place that was strongly recommended by someone, who also specifically reminded us to make a reservation in advance, otherwise we might not get a table on-site.
🌟However, before going, we checked some online reviews and noticed many mentions of service attitude issues. So even before stepping into the store, we were already a bit nervous and had mentally prepared for possibly being scolded. In the end, after dining, it turned out better than expected—the attitude wasn't as exaggerated as described online, and we didn't encounter any uncomfortable situations.
🌟It was obvious that the boss really enjoys chatting with regular customers. Once they arrive, conversations can last quite a while, creating a lively atmosphere. As first-time visitors, we quietly sat aside eating our hot pot, which also gave us a glimpse of the store's everyday side.
🌟The seating is counter-style, facing the work area. Staff constantly walk back and forth in front, grabbing items and organizing ingredients. For most people this might not be an issue, but I tend to get nervous easily. Sitting there, I kept feeling people passing by, making the whole meal slightly anxious—I didn't dare look around and could only keep my head down and focus on eating.
🌟When the seasonings were served, they came in a full bowl with generous portions. No need to worry about running out midway. Overall, the ingredients tasted good, and the broth was quite fresh.
🌟The shrimp hadn't been deveined, so at first they felt a bit gritty. Later we handled it ourselves, and they tasted much better.
🌟Many online reviews recommended the oysters, so we specially ordered a plate. However, the oysters we got had a noticeable metallic taste—not just one, but the whole plate. Taste preferences vary, but personally, I wouldn't recommend the oysters this time.
🌟Other ingredients were served in generous portions. The full set meal left us feeling satisfied, without any empty feeling afterward. The drink was traditional-style black tea—sweet and smooth, perfect with hot pot. 🌟Finally, the store served a small bowl of grass jelly. The portion wasn't large, but it was quite refreshing after the meal.
