Shatin: Sea Encircles Mountains, Mountains Encircle Me
Borrowing the scenery written by literary master Mr. Yu Kwang-chung in Sha Tin.
Occasionally visiting this Hyatt Hotel completed in 2009 next to University Station, with large window sills and purple cushioned walls, it is the interior design style of Hong Kong from over a decade ago. Nowadays this style is considered old-fashioned. I thought this hotel had been completed for a very long time, but upon careful calculation, it turns out to be only 18 years. Outside the window is exactly the Sha Tin described by Mr. Yu Kwang-chung.
In the room, I showcase the entire space, the balcony, and my body.
When I organize this set of photos, I find that under the lens, there is a slightly yellow and misty retro feel.
Just 18 years, 18 years have passed, only 18 years.
Time is often the hardest thing to measure in this world. It seems near yet far, far yet near.
The elusive passage of time, let it remain in the light and shadow. This is Sha Tin in my eyes, and also a cross-temporal dialogue between me and Hong Kong.
What is your impression of Sha Tin?
