After being together for seven years, we decided to live a different kind of life.

Departing again.
Six suitcases, a red-eye flight.
It looks like another somewhat exaggerated trip.

First time flying business class,
First time sleeping through the night on a plane.
Waking up in the middle of the night, watching the line on the screen getting longer and longer,
only slowly realizing—
This time, it really seems different.

The first bottle of water after landing, 5 dollars.
First time getting into a car in a strange city,
staring out the window at the trams, streets, and houses the whole way.
Everything is new,
yet nothing is familiar.

In the evening,
stores close one by one, the street surprisingly quiet.
We drag our bodies tired from the whole day to find food,
and end up using a McDonald's meal,
to end this special first day.

No grand beginning as imagined.
No perfect moment like in movies where “new life officially begins”.
Only exhaustion, novelty, confusion,
and a bit of unease that secretly emerges.
But the person beside us is still the same.

After being together for seven years,
we made such a big decision together for the first time.
We chose another kind of life.
As for where the six suitcases finally took us—
This time, it's really not a trip.
