A Day When My Kidneys Were Awakened by the Salty Clam Soup -- Sushiro

🌟That day I suddenly wanted sushi, so I headed to Sushiro. I thought I wouldn't have to wait long, but once there I saw a huge line outside—business was booming. We waited around 40 minutes before finally getting a seat.

🌟After sitting down, we started grabbing sushi one after another. The clam soup left the strongest first impression—super, unbelievably salty. The first sip made the saltiness very noticeable. I tried to sip it slowly with the sushi, but it still felt too heavy, so I didn't finish it.

🌟This time the fried sushi items all performed pretty well; frying gave them more aroma. My favorite was the fried squid—the outside was nicely crispy, and the squid itself was easy to bite without being tough, so I ordered it a second time.

🌟The chawanmushi was also great—smooth and tender. After the heavier flavors earlier, it was perfect for a palate reset.

🌟The mille-feuille cake was better than expected too—sweetness wasn't too high, so it didn't feel heavy. It made a nice closing dessert.

🌟What I didn't quite get was the crab miso. I expected a rich flavor, but it turned out not quite to my liking—the taste was quite different from what I imagined.

🌟The yuzu chashu also had an odd vibe that didn't quite work for me; I found it a bit mismatched and was still puzzled after finishing it.

🌟Overall most items were good, but the sushi with mayonnaise leaned toward salty-savory rather than the sweet mayo I prefer. It was fine at first, but later it started feeling heavy and even a bit nauseating—yet I didn't want to waste it, so I forced myself to finish.

🌟I was really full after the meal. A few flavors didn't suit me, but I really liked the fried squid, chawanmushi, and mille-feuille cake.
