Xihu Market area is truly a food paradise, with so many stalls and shops, you never know which one to try! Today I'm recommending a 30-year-old traditional noodle shop - 鴨香飽, a popular spot near Xihu Market. Must-try is the duck minced rice, super delicious with plenty of meat. If you want a big serving of meat, go for the duck meat noodles. You can even choose your own noodles. 鴨香飽 not only serves delicious food in a comfortable environment, but ordering is super convenient too - there's a self-ordering machine at the entrance or you can scan the QR code to order!

鴨香飽

Opened in 1990 and still going strong, the traditional noodle shop 鴨香飽 uses fresh local ingredients and prepares every dish with a mother's loving touch, so you can eat healthy and worry-free. This 30-year-old establishment has now passed to the second generation. After work or school hours, the shop fills with students, office workers, and families dining together. The steady stream of loyal customers shows the owner's commitment to "fresh ingredients" - one bite and you won't forget it!

The shop is now super modern with self-ordering kiosks and QR code ordering available at the tables!

鴨香飽 was formerly known as "A Ling Noodle Shop," established in 1990 at the traditional Xihu Market. You can still see the original A Ling Noodle Shop sign inside!

The interior of 鴨香飽 is very clean and bright, no wonder many families come here for dinner. When you visit 鴨香飽, you have to try the duck meat! If you prefer noodles, order the duck meat noodles and choose your preferred noodle type. For rice lovers, we recommend the duck minced rice, topped with a runny poached egg! You can also add some side dishes for a truly satisfying meal.

Dry Duck Noodles $90

This bowl of dry duck noodles is absolutely delicious! It comes loaded with duck meat and the sauce makes it even better!

The duck meat pieces are huge, with a bouncy texture that's easy to chew. After adding the sauce, it's glossy, savory, and addictive - you just can't stop eating!

Today I chose mi tai mu noodles - it's been a while and they're so chewy! The savory sauce pairs perfectly, and I love the pickled vegetables added inside. So satisfying!

Minced Rice $60

Such a generous bowl for only $60 - what a great deal! A customer favorite, the duck minced rice comes with tender duck meat and crispy fried shallots. The flavor is spot on.

Plenty of shredded duck meat! Just as delicious after adding the sauce.

The duck has a nice chew, the skin is glossy and bouncy, and the rice grains are perfectly separate. Drizzled with duck oil and shallots, it's incredibly fragrant and goes perfectly with rice!

Mix the poached egg into the rice and watch the yolk flow out! Eating it together makes it even more flavorful.

Side Dishes

鴨香飽's side dishes are special - they even have sweet and spicy fried items! Large pieces with a bouncy texture, really tasty!

Liver and Intestines

If you still have room, ordering a plate of liver and intestines is very satisfying!

Large Wonton Soup $39

First time seeing wonton soup this cheap! Absolutely amazing! The wontons are huge with lots of filling and thin skin. Incredible value!

There are so many great eats in Xihu. I highly recommend trying 鴨香飽 - excellent value with generous portions and delicious duck meat!
