Osaka free trip, if you want to experience the local market food atmosphere, you can come to what is known as the kitchen of Osaka people 'Kuromon Market'. It's not just tourists who love to come; even locals come to shop!
Osaka travel Day8, we first went to Namba Yasaka Shrine to worship, then slowly walked all the way to Kuromon Market.
Originally, we planned to eat a lot at the market, but halfway, the kids saw 'Yakiniku Like', so we went to eat grilled meat first. By the time we got to Kuromon Market, our stomachs were already full, so we could only browse simply and feel the atmosphere.

Kuromon Market is located between Osaka Namba and Nihonbashi, it is a narrow, long traditional market.
Because it appeared in the late Meiji era and was named after the gate of the nearby temple, it is called 'Kuromon'.
📍Attraction information|Kuromon Market
Address: Osaka Prefecture, Osaka City, Chuo Ward, Nihonbashi 2-4-1
📍Transportation:
• Walk about 5 minutes from Nihonbashi Station
• Walk about 10 minutes from Namba Station
Kuromon Market has about 170 shops, both sides are full of various stalls: fresh seafood (sashimi, sea urchin, scallops), Wagyu beef grilling ingredients, vegetables and fruits, pickled foods, kimchi, etc.
The air is mixed with seafood smell, grilling aroma, and kimchi flavor, plus the vendors' constant calls, it's a place that fully engages all five senses.
The biggest charm of Kuromon Market is buy and eat on the spot!
Many stalls will prepare it for you directly, like freshly sliced sashimi, freshly grilled seafood, and freshly seared Wagyu beef, etc. After buying, you can stand nearby to eat or sit down to enjoy, it's very much like the daily life of a Japanese market.
Because we had already eaten grilled meat before coming to the market, in the market we only simply ate fugu sashimi.
Freshly killed fugu sashimi, thinly sliced and beautifully plated, the texture is extremely crisp and elastic, with absolutely no fishy taste at all. Simply dip it in a little soy sauce, the refreshing flavor just perfectly counters the greasiness from having just eaten grilled meat.
Besides the full array of fresh and cooked food stalls, the market also has drugstores that are popular with tourists, as well as clothing stores and daily goods stores that are full of local life vibes.
Although this time we didn't eat a lot, I actually really like the feeling of Kuromon Market; it's a bit lively, a bit chaotic, but full of life, it's a very authentic local market daily life.
