High CP-value Ximen cafe on my second visit! Loved it so much last time with my boyfriend, so this time I brought mom along for afternoon tea! 4F Theater Cafe at Zhongshan Hall recently launched super crispy thin-crust pizza—adding a savory option is fantastic!

4F Theater Cafe has a retro vibe with plenty of large sofa seats that are super comfortable for two. Even on weekdays there are many people reading or working here—the quiet atmosphere is something I really like!

Afternoon tea but so generous~~ I’ve always thought 4F Theater Cafe offers great value; both cakes and drinks are huge portions. Just order one drink and one cake and you can stay the whole afternoon reading, listening to music, or working—perfect fit~
Marukyu Koyamaen Matcha Mille-Feuille $160
So lucky to catch the matcha mille-feuille today! Made with Uji Marukyu Koyamaen matcha powder. Love the spoonful of matcha whipped cream on top—it makes the cake moister with more layers and sweet without being cloying. Matcha lovers must try it~
Grandma’s Lemon Cake $160
Mom loves lemon cake. The cake is moist, not dry, with a firmer texture—perfect for this weather. Having a slice of this fragrant, sweet-and-sour lemon cake in summer is ideal!
Segondo Crazy Chicken Pizza $250
The pizza I was most excited about today! Super delicious!! Portions are on the small side though, so it’s really perfect as an afternoon snack~
The pizza has a thin, super crispy crust—edges almost like a cookie, really tasty! Plenty of toppings with big chunks of chicken, rich and aromatic cheese. Cheese lovers have to try this~~
Brown Sugar Latte $190
Brown sugar latte is smooth and easy to drink; sweetness isn’t too high—acceptable for most people~
Alishan Jin Xuan Tea $240
Ordering tea is the best value—you can refill and it’s a large pot. Jin Xuan tea is meant to be refilled; it tastes even better the second time! If you’re coming here to read or work, I recommend ordering a pot of tea. The AC is pretty strong, so hot tea keeps you warm and lasts a long time~~
