If you've been to Yongkang Street recently, you'll definitely notice this queue-crazy dessert shop “Sweet Full L’Atelier Lotus”.
Really, no exaggeration, when I first saw it, I even thought: “What are they queuing for?” Only after checking did I find out it's the super popular souvenir nougat!
This time I personally bought some to eat, and I completely understand why the queue is like that.
Sweet Full is in a small alley on Yongkang Street, but it's not hard to find at all, because as soon as you see the queue, you know you've arrived (laughs), and it's right next to Yongkang Park.
Take the MRT to Dongmen Station, exit from the Yongkang Street direction, and walk about 3~5 minutes to arrive!
📍 Store Information | Sweet Full L’Atelier Lotus
Address: No. 10, Lane 31, Yongkang Street, Da'an District, Taipei City
Business Hours: 09:00~19:30
The biggest feature of this store isn't the decor, but the “crowds”.
Small storefront, but the queue is incredibly exaggerated; it's recommended to avoid weekends or afternoon peaks, otherwise you'll wait longer.
And the queue is really international, mostly Koreans, but also Japanese, Taiwanese, etc., with a high proportion of tourists.
Each person is limited to 4 boxes per day, and it's Cash Only (cash only)!
If you want to buy, remember to allow extra time for queuing and prepare cash.
Sweet Full L’Atelier Lotus specializes in “nougat”, with three classic cookie outer layers: scallion, coin, and gold bar (square crisp), the main difference is in the outer cookie texture!
There are also other limited flavors, like coffee, chocolate, and spicy, released irregularly, a bit like a hidden menu concept.
Why is this store so popular? Besides the endorsement from famous Korean stars, the background of the soul figure, the head chef, is even more impressive!
The head chef studied at the French Le Cordon Bleu school and a French pastry school, infusing French pastry finesse into traditional Taiwanese nougat.
This time I only bought the most popular “scallion flavor”, price: 220 yuan / 16 pieces.
As soon as you open the packaging, that rich scallion cookie aroma hits you, with plenty of filling that feels satisfying and healing.
The cookie itself is salty, fragrant, and crispy; the key is the nougat filling inside! The filling is very full, but surprisingly soft when bitten, not sticky at all, with just the right sweetness, not cloying.
Sweet Full Nougat is not just loved by tourists; even locals will repurchase, like me, after eating it, I'm already thinking about when to go buy more.
Next time you come to Yongkang Street, remember to set aside some time to queue and take a box home; you should understand why it's so popular.
