Ajiya Private Kitchen specializes in premium ingredients and artisanal techniques to create an ultimate culinary feast. Whether it's Japanese hot pot, teppanyaki, sushi, or set meals, they have it all!

Today we dined at a teppanyaki table in a semi-private booth—perfect for couples on a date! It's also ideal for treating parents at year-end, with a fully premium ambiance!

Today I brought my mom for the Christmas & New Year set meal, featuring two main courses (Wagyu and lamb chops), seafood (snow crab, live abalone, fresh fish), and a lavish land-and-sea combination. The highlight for me was the Hokkaido snow crab! The table-side teppanyaki service is refined and professional, and portions are generous!

Embryo Rice Almond Tea

Before the meal, we were served a cup of embryo rice almond tea. On this chilly day, a hot cup was perfect—rich almond flavor without being overly sweet, warming both stomach and heart~

Hassun: Christmas Tree Candlestick Platter

This appetizer is adorable! Featuring a Christmas-themed design with six small dishes in the style of Japanese kaiseki, each one unique and delicious!

Monkfish Liver: Tender and sweet, melts in the mouth

Anglerfish Liver: Thick with a slight chew, smooth and tender

Peacock Brocade Roll: Filled with quail egg, sweet and fragrant

Pine Needle Crab Roe Burdock: Rich aroma, sweet and savory

Persimmon: Firm with natural sweetness, best saved for last

Kinton Lily: Mildly sweet, smooth texture

Second Course: Cedar Jewelry Box - Icy Cloud Platter

Opening it releases a misty effect—stunning! Inside is a lavish array of uni, scallops, sashimi, and sea grapes~

The seared scallops are huge, with a bouncy, chewy texture—delicious even on their own~

The sashimi is fresh and sweet, melting in the mouth~

Main Course: Teppanyaki - Kagoshima Japanese A5 Wagyu & New Zealand Lamb

I prefer meat over seafood! Today's teppanyaki featured my favorite Wagyu—pure bliss! Plus a whole small lamb rack that had me drooling~

The chef prepares everything live; the aroma is irresistible~ The A5 Wagyu is seared over high heat after resting, releasing all its rich fat for incredible flavor!

The lamb requires longer searing. Even as someone who doesn't usually eat lamb, I was drawn in by the aroma—zero gamey taste!

The Kagoshima A5 Wagyu is tender and juicy, best enjoyed with minimal seasoning—rich fat without greasiness, leaving you wanting more! The lamb has no gamey flavor, with firm texture that shines unseasoned!

While preparing our meal, the chef also paired wines for us. Today's was peach sparkling wine—perfect with the meats, refreshing and sweet~

Main Course: Seafood

Next up on the teppanyaki: frozen snow crab legs, South African abalone, seasonal fish (longtail bird), asparagus, and green melon~

The live South African abalone starts moving on the hot plate before being seared to perfection!

The abalone is even sliced for you—super thoughtful~

The snow crab legs are seared and steamed without seasoning—looking plump and sweet~

Besides seafood, the accompanying vegetables are delicious too. After rich seafood, simple seared veggies offer a sweet, palate-cleansing contrast~

Look at that snow crab meat! Huge, plump, and thick—pre-cut for easy eating. Pure bliss! Large chunks of crab are naturally sweet without any seasoning—addictively good~

The longtail bird fish is prepared differently, finished with chef's special thickened broth. Minimal seasoning lets the fish's natural umami shine!

The fish is tender and thick; paired with the thickened sauce, it's incredibly flavorful~

Final Course: Crab Shell Sushi with Mountain Red Vinegar

Now for my most anticipated aburi sushi! Today's selections: bluefin tuna belly and Kagoshima A5 Wagyu!

I love Wagyu! Even this small sushi piece is no compromise—made with mountain red vinegar rice that has a unique flavor. Grains are perfectly firm, pairing amazingly with the fatty Wagyu!

The bluefin tuna belly is bouncy and tender, topped with caviar—absolutely delicious!

Final Soup: Clear Broth with Salt Koji & Yuzu

The final soup was a pleasant surprise—strong yuzu aroma from the salt koji yuzu base, though slightly sweet. Paired with seasonal vegetables and tofu, it warms you right up~

Dessert: Fuyu Persimmon Season

Decorated with colorful rainbow paper—absolutely stunning! I love this presentation!

Made with Motianling sweet persimmons and Qatar sauce, scooped into perfect bite-sized balls~

Sweet Course: Rising Wagashi

Time for my favorite—dessert! Today's wagashi is adorable, complete with gold leaf~

Stuffed with a whole chestnut and wrapped in sweet potato paste. Overall sweet, but pairs perfectly with matcha~

Final Drink: Kyoto Matcha

Using Shizuoka matcha, freshly ground and brewed—rich and fragrant, the perfect match for sweet wagashi~

Looking to treat family or your partner to a luxurious Christmas feast? Highly recommend Ajiya Private Kitchen's Christmas & New Year set meal. Fresh ingredients, thoughtful preparation, every dish beautifully designed and delicious. The teppanyaki area offers privacy like a small booth—definitely worth trying~
