This time we visited "和牛鍋敘" located inside the 苗栗馥藝金鬱金香酒店. This is an all-you-can-eat hot pot brand launched by the 路易莎餐飲集團, offering plans ranging from the entry-level 520 NTD set to the premium 1,259 NTD extreme black wagyu set.
In addition to unlimited refills of meat, the self-service bar also offers fresh vegetables, mushrooms, hot pot ingredients, noodles, rice, wagyu curry, desserts, cakes, drinks, shaved ice, coffee, and ice cream.
和牛鍋敘's Miaoli first store is located inside the 苗栗馥藝金鬱金香酒店. The restaurant features warm wooden elements paired with Japanese zen-style design, creating a calm and comfortable dining atmosphere from the entrance.
The entrance uses wooden lattice with warm lighting, making the "和牛鍋敘" sign stand out. The overall facade is minimalist with a Japanese touch.
Inside the restaurant, you'll see plenty of wooden elements combined with off-white chairs, wooden tables, and round paper lantern pendants. The soft color tones make the space feel quite pleasant.
The seating is spacious, with four-person square tables for regular dining and round tables suitable for group meals, making it convenient for family or friend gatherings.
From my actual dining experience, I really like the space here—it doesn't feel as crowded as traditional all-you-can-eat hot pot restaurants.
和牛鍋敘 currently offers five different price tiers for all-you-can-eat hot pot sets, ranging from 520 NTD to 1,259 NTD. You can choose based on your budget and the desired meat quality.
Every set includes unlimited meat refills plus access to the self-service bar. The main differences between price tiers are the available meat grades and set contents.
If you're simply looking for an affordable all-you-can-eat hot pot experience, the 520 NTD "雅選・豚雞雙饗套餐" is a good entry option. If you prioritize higher-grade beef, consider sets at 788 NTD and above.
Please note that all set prices are subject to an additional 10% service charge.
Each table has a 120-minute dining limit, with ordering allowed for the first 100 minutes. All guests at the same table must choose the same price tier.
This time I chose the sugarcane clear broth + tomato beef bone broth.
The sugarcane clear broth tastes relatively light, though it had some saltiness during my visit, which became more noticeable when cooking vegetables.
The tomato beef bone broth, made with beef bone stock and ripe tomatoes, offers a sweet-and-sour flavor that's savory and appetizing—great for hot pot dipping.
I also noticed neighboring tables choosing the Sichuan pepper red broth, which has a stronger numbing-spicy aroma. If you enjoy spicy flavors, this could be a good option.
After confirming the set price and broth, staff provide a QR code so you can order directly via your phone.
Meat can be refilled unlimited times, with a maximum of 20 portions per order and a 5-minute interval between orders.
I found this ordering method quite convenient—no need to keep calling staff; just use your phone to order what you want.
However, during peak times when many guests are ordering simultaneously, meat delivery can be slightly slower.
In my experience, the first round took longer, but subsequent orders were much faster and the overall pace improved significantly.
If you need to wait at the beginning, you can head to the self-service bar for vegetables, hot pot ingredients, or drinks to make the wait more enjoyable.
This time I chose the 520 NTD "雅選・豚雞雙饗套餐", which includes bacon pork belly, plum blossom pork, and domestically certified chicken.
The plum blossom pork has a higher lean meat ratio, resulting in a firmer texture after cooking. During my visit, it felt a bit tough.
The bacon pork belly shows more marbling, but because the slices are thin, it doesn't feel overly greasy.
If you enjoy pork with a fatty aroma, the bacon pork belly will suit your taste.
The chicken performed adequately with a normal texture, suitable for cooking in any broth.
If your budget is limited and you're mainly looking for an all-you-can-eat hot pot restaurant, the 520 NTD pork-chicken set is a solid entry choice.
Besides unlimited meat refills, the self-service bar is another highlight of 和牛鍋敘.
The self-service area offers many items, including fresh vegetables, mushrooms, hot pot ingredients, fish paste, noodles, rice, wagyu curry, grass jelly, desserts, cakes, drinks, shaved ice, coffee, and ice cream.
The vegetable section includes tomatoes, cucumbers, corn, pumpkin, cabbage, leafy greens, and various mushrooms—take whatever you like.
There are plenty of hot pot ingredients and meatballs to pair with the meat for a richer hot pot experience. Noodles and other sides are also available for free mixing.
Rice lovers can pair white rice with wagyu curry.
After the hot pot, try a bowl of grass jelly shaved ice with your favorite toppings as a dessert.
The drink area offers tea, Coca-Cola machines, shaved ice, Louisa coffee machines, and various tea bags.
I personally like the Louisa coffee machine—having a coffee after hot pot makes a great post-meal drink.
The ice cream is made in-house by Louisa, with six flavors to choose from. During my visit, some flavors were quite hard to scoop, but the variety was decent.
The dessert section features cakes, cookies, and other small treats displayed on wooden shelves, giving the self-service bar a mini dessert buffet vibe.
